Why is this team so terrible from the three-point line?

What I like about Henderson is that somewhere along the way he learned to move without the ball. Watch him and he is constantly in motion. Lot harder to guard a guy who always is moving. Also wears the defender out. If our perimeter guys moved without the ball like him, this offense would be much more effective.

I agree. Good shooters understand it takes hard work and effort to get themselves open to shoot. Reggie Miller comes to mind. That guy never stayed still.

Well this is the 2nd best 3 point shooting team we've had since 2008......

The issue really is consistency. One game we might hit 10-15 3s and look like the best shooting team in the country. The very next we go 2-21 and we're all thinking wtf?

Lol better than McRae or Stokes?

JRich is more athletic than either, can guard multiple positions, is a slasher with a decent midrange game.

McRae is a volume shooter who's hot and cold, can't guard nearly as well, and doesn't have an nba body

Stokes is a tweener with little explosion off the floor and little to no midrange game/shot.

I don't think it's far fetched to say that JRich, if he really continues to develop his offensive game next year might be the best nba fit.

IMO I think jrich has the best chance in the NBA

BWAHAHAHAHA! LOL! Are you serious? Unless he averages about 22 ppg next year he won't sniff a mock draft, even late second round. He is not more athletic than McRae. Can't shoot as well. Better defender yes. That is about it.

It isn't all that farfetched. I've said it for a long time; JRich is our most complete player. People are starting to come around to that idea. He does put up a stinker every 6-7 games, but overall, he is our most skilled, most complete player.

I agree. Except when I think "most skilled," I think of Stokes with his expertise of the post; more of a "who has the most skills at their position." But yeah, Richardson is the most balanced across the board for sure.

I don't like to use this argument, but it's applicable here: if DeAndre Liggins can get in the NBA, Richardson can too.

Yup, he's been my comparisons for 2+ years.

I just hate it when people use that argument for Lofton. The closest player to his style to get in the NBA recently (IMO) is Jimmer Freddette, and Sacramento just bought out his contract.

There's not a place in the NBA for 6'2" SGs who can't handle the rock. Lofton never really had a chance and I hate it.

I think Richardson has about as good a shot as McRae imo

Richardson's shot has way more upside than McRae's. Let's remember now that Richardson has had less than a year with his a new shot rhythm, imagine another offseason under his belt.

I see what you mean. By most skilled, I meant had the largest variety of skill.

Liggins is a good comparison.

That's selfish basketball when I see that many three's coming from three players.

When fed from inside out from a doubleteam or ball rotation, who cares. Its shooting 20 that are forced due to not attacking and shot clock issues that are our problem.

That will be the demise of this team once they play Florida or Kentucky in the tournament. If they make it that far.

You are lumping all 3's together as being bad shots and the only bad 3's tonight were by McRae and one by Barton. Beautiful offense tonight. If we go down to Fla or Ky with that attacking offense and rhythm, so be it.

There were also a couple heat check type 3s or late 3s that we took because we were up 30.

Shot selection was fine tonight.

Only a couple "bad shots" tonight when the game was technically in question, which it never really was. I have less problem taking 24 3s when we win by 20+ points.

He has the energy we love but lackin the natural skill set than j mc or Stokes. Imo
