Why? Keyton/Tillman

Tillman has more physical ability when fighting for jump / contested balls. Keyton was phenomenal this year tho. Hard to believe that Tillman had that many more targets, but when he was here our scheme basically eliminates the 4th WR bc we don't sub.

Looking at Pro Football Focus' website. they show that Tillman played in 6 games and was thrown to 59 times. Keyton played in 12 games, and was thrown to only 43 times. Why the wide discrepancy? Seems like Keyton has produced when called upon.
Keyton has his troubles getting open. He relies a lot on scheme

Pff is 100% amazing. You’re partially correct about your top comment, but we still throw to the right more than the left even with Tillman out. It may be by design (maybe that’s where you put your best guy in this offense), it may be what Hooker was more comfortable with (a lot of QBs throw better to one side than the other)
yup this team was extremely right handed all season with both QB's like 9/10 long bombs went right.

I feel like Hooker was more balanced to the other WRs when Tillman wasn't on the field, which led to inconsistencies in certain games, including our 2 losses. Both great players. Just an observation.

Tillman had 8 targets against UGA and 19 targets in the SC game. It might have been the other way around.

When healthy, Tillman was our best receiver. Especially coming into the season based upon the 2021 stats.

Tillman was the boss in 2021.

Idk. Just seemed like he read the field better and wasn't forcing it to a certain guy when he wasn't playing.

I read your original post wrong. The volume of Tillman targets in the South Carolina game would seem to back you up.

Correct me if I am wrong but when Tillman went out I read that Hyatt moved to his spot, not sure if Keyton then took Hyatts spot or if he just spelled Hyatt at times but point being, Hyatt would not have gotten the production we saw if Tillman had not gotten hurt so it could be that X, Y or Z postion whichever they were in was the go to route in most situations, Hooker definitely threw to Tillman more when he was in and more to Hyatt when he was out, so was it the route or the player being targeted?

No this is all wrong.

Hyatt was the dude to catch the 1st TD of the season. He was hot from the beginning, and then went crazy against Bama.

Keyton was the dude subbing in for him.

Hyatt had 18 targets against Pitt...

Both of you are inaccurate. When Tillman excited, Keyton subbed for him, Hyatt stayed at the slot.
