Urban Meyer won at year 2 in Florida as well.

Saban didn't win in year 2 but they had a 12-0 season.

Year 2 seems to be the MAJOR breakthrough for excellent coaches.
I was wondering how many coaches in their 2nd year have done a 180 on their team and turned them in to champions

That’s the thing, for the first time in almost 20 years I can’t think of any reason why we couldn’t win it all

I'm really proud of this team and the coaches. Everyone has bought in and has played hard together. Even if we do end up losing at some point, I can't be upset about it. This season has been memorable already. The stadium this year has just been electric. This team has honored the pride we feel for this University and reinforced it with stellar performances.

That being said though, there hasn't been a game this year where I haven't believed that we were capable of winning. I still feel that way knowing Georgia is next. I just try my best to stay positive and believe that even if we are down, this team will find a way. Now let's go get those dawgs. 💪

Go back and watch the Pitt game. We are nowhere close to the same team that we were at the start of the season. Every group from OL, DL, WRs, RBs and LBs have gotten better throughout. And don’t look now, but our secondary is turning a corner…just in time. It’s literally scary how much we have improved as the season has gone on. What a coaching job we are witnessing.

Heupel is always saying good teams get better though the season. That was what impressed me most since he’s gotten here: every week the team gets better. There are setbacks at times but even last season we saw improvement week to week. Haven’t been use to seeing that the last several years.
