Dear Volnation,

Last night I was able to witness in person a change. Tennessee was down 17-3 at halftime and could have laid down and blown out of their stadium. With a brand new coaching staff, our recent history, and a team that consists mostly of inexperienced players/ freshman I don't think many of us would have been too surprised if the score had been something like 38-10. However, everyone from Devaun Swafford to Justin Worley stepped up to make it a ball game. Aaron Murray is one of the best QBs in the nation and one of the best in SEC history and we didn't let him take the game out of reach. Georgia had a lot of injuries but even with them they were still incredibly talented and Tennessee gave their all for 60 mins and then some. The crowd and the student section did their part, which was absolutely amazing. The college football world is taking note. Yes we did lose and losing is sucks, I am still sick over the outcome, but if Tennessee plays like that for the remainder of the season there is no reason why we shouldn't be going into a bowl game 8-4.

South Carolina is beatable, hands down.
Alabama will be a loss but I think we will play them tough and hang with them for a while.
Missouri may be 5-0 but they haven't played anybody. Don't try to tell me they're world beaters.
Auburn is a big home game and like South Carolina, they are beatable.
Vanderbilt will be destroyed, I hate those idiots.
Kentucky hahahahahahahaha

After the effort I saw last night out of this team, I'm not ready to say any of the remaining games are a guaranteed loss. No one would've figured we would nearly upset Bama in 2009, and I damn sure didn't think we were going to show up yesterday. I won't make that mistake again. This team is turning the corner. We may lose some more games, but I'm now confident we will compete in every one of them until the final whistle blows. I'm so damn proud of this team for overcoming all they've had to, all the losses, coaching changes and negativity. I hope for the seniors sake they can win some big games this year, including a bowl win. It breaks my heart for them to lose the way they did last night.

I'm as excited and as proud about how we played this weekend as anybody, but I just can't buy into that expectation completely. Believe me, I want to do ... but despite the GREAT effort and the outstanding game preparation that was evident on the field, the fact remains that we still lost. Like someone else on here said, we haven't turned a corner. We might be on the corner, but until we actually win one of these, we haven't made the turn. Last night was our chance. We didn't get it done. It was tough and I was proud of the fight ... however, a loss is a loss.

Of course, I also went into Saturday thinking that we were likely to lose by 14-21 points, so what do I know?

Okay guys, I'm all for positive thinking but we've had one good half against a good team this year. I certainly hope we keep the momentum going, but counting on future wins at this point seems rather silly.

The team took a giant leap forward yesterday. 6-6 with a bowl game and that would be a successful season. Any more is just icing on top.

Plus if Neal keeps it up, he will have over 1000 yards for the season and over 2000 for his career. Pretty awesome.

Like I have said earlier in the season, if the coaches and team are taking it one game at a time, why can't we on here follow suit?
