Why we aren't talking about the Middle East right now

1) From what I read it was an accident and was stopped when they realized what was in the stuff they were burning.

2) Anyone who thinks that the protests are just about that are deluding themselves-- its about our presence there, generally.

3) I suspect that if this happened five years ago the reaction would have been far, far worse. The Taliban has seized upon this to try to whip up some anti-American sentiment. Seems the masses are just tired of it.

We are winning.

Not. Sure. If. Serious.

I find it alarming that more people are disturbed over the burning of a book than they are people getting hurt and/or killed over it. None of this is surprising though.

I can guarantee if people burned a bible no one would get killed over it

I agree with this post.

Whats new about any of this. Since my early childhood I have seen scenes from the ME on the news of (insert backwards ME country here) burning a flag, throwing rocks, yelling, and/or dragging a dummy around the streets while doing all of the above. They dont like us, and I personally dont give a f about them and their toilet paperless asses either.
