Which recruits or commits have a strong relationship with Wilcox? Or who is he recruiting?

Doesn't need to, that's why we have Chuck Smith. Defensive linemen love him and Terry Joseph is good at recruiting db's and Thompson can recruit anyone. Peter Sirmon is helping too

i've been wondering about Wilcox, and asking questions too, and haven't received any answers.... maybe he's the guy recruiting these "secret" recruits? my hope would be he has west coast contacts, and we can pull a big name from there?

I have been following Tennessee football for 50 years. Many many def coordinators available better than Wilcox !!!

WOW I think there are 2 completely differemt conversations going on here. How do you answer the question MT Vols ask with. Wilcox is not leaving?

It like asking what color is the sky? and someone answering your wife has a BIG A**!! 2 completly different topics...

Texas is interested but I havent read or heard that they have offered. If Wilcox does leave then the GA Peter Sirmon will go with him more than likely. As long as Coach Smith & Coach Thompson stay then we will be fine with recruiting. IF Wilcox does go here is my list for DCs:

Randy Shannon
Kevin Steele
Manny Diaz
Dick Bumpas

I don't think it will happen either, but I wouldn't mind any of those replacements.

Didn't Steele end up with a raise from like $250k to $750k last year after Dooley tried to bring him in?

I wouldn't be surprised. Maybe Dooley isn't letting him recruit with the expectation that he might be leaving.... I'm not a recruiting junkie but I check this board about everyday, and the only thing i remember seeing is that he went to Atlanta to visit Vincent Dallas.

I like that list, Shannon and Steele would be a great get. But thats IF Wilcox leaves. Only thing that worries me is our recruits
