Wildcard?

Who is the wildcard that we end up getting? The way it looks at this point. Strong is iffy on if he is leaving or staying. Gundy apparently thinks UT is not appealing. Fedora was to get interviewed this am now its tonight. Who knows if thats gonna happen. So who is the wildcard that we end up hiring. The way it looks at this point we are not going to pull any of the names we are hearing. I am thinking its someone way off the radar.

Fedora sucks.... wins/loses will be no different than w. previous coach...
should have kept Dooley and saved the buyout money.

kinda similar when ut hired dooley. i believe i read that he was #9 on the list

I agree, and it wouldn't be the worst case scenario if this ends up the case.

Could the wildcard be someone we have not thought of from the NFL, following the notion that an NFL guy who has experience in college would be better than some of these middle or low-end programs? Any NFL names out there?

I unfortunately have to agree. Hoping an NFL level coach that follows Babyvols (I think) rumor of a surprise hire that Gruden was helping out by talking to potential assistants.

Anyone thinking that we already have a hire just waiting to announce so they dont steal any of Fulmers glory tonight?

If there's a wildcard I think it would be Patterson or Briles, and considering that Bruce Feldman mentioned that UT would continue to pursue Briles, makes me think he could be the dark horse.

I'm about to go full on Gruden again, though I always had hope.
