Will Bruce ever find a true PG?

I want the PG to be able to get UT in their offensive sets in a timely manner and take charge when the shot clock is winding down. Anthing that keeps JP Prince from being considered a PG when he is on the court works for me.

a great PG--but he was better than what the Vols had this year. He had great size for a PG, a nice advantage, and was decent at running the team, and he could take the ball to the basket occasionally. But that team was good mainly because it had two good perimeter players in Lofton and Jajuan--the first an excellent three-point shooter and the second a good player on both ends of the court. This team didn't have ONE good perimeter player. Ramar was a terrible shooter, by the way. But yea, he could have helped this team.

I never claimed he was a great shooter or God's gift to the point guard position, just that his team managed to win a conference title when he was on the court, and that he would have helped this team a lot, like you said.

so its bruce pearl fault for recruting one of the best pg's recruits who hit a wall and got kicked off the team.. and maze was the last choice he had b/c ramar got kicked off at the end of the yr and west didnt qualify... and tabb is not a pg but that was something he had to do

2. he already has selby commited for pg after maze and why would joe jackson commit to us after a better player already has commited at his spot and craft looks like he will be solid.

3. hatvol you are the most negative poster on this basketball board. do you even go for the vols or hope they lose so you can have something to post about?

Do you really think we had no idea about the character of Ramar before he got here? He was only here because Calhoun dropped him due to behavioral concerns and it's not like Calhoun has a choir boy requirement.

You do realize that you're pissisng off the Memphis and West TN. vols fans . I guess if you live west of th Tn. river you're a lesser Vol fan . Get a clue man there are alot of vol fans in Memphis and west TN. and you just insulted every one of them . Antioch isn't that on this side of the river also .:crazy:
