Half of me wants to see it because it was effective. The other half doesn't want to see AJ get seriously injured, but more importantly, UT should TRUST the RB's to get the job done!
I hope not. Hopefully our running backs will be good enough to get those short yardage situations that we required a linebacker to do last year. It was effective last year and it was exciting to watch. However I would much rather see a back that can pick up a yard without the coach having to dig into wildcat formations and using defensive star players to get a yard or two.
Not necessarily true it just means we are using the guy that has the best chance of scoring in short yardage situations, like when the bears used the fridge.
Also defenses knew what was going to happen when he came in the game and he still scored so the beast package was in no way a trick or gimmick it was just a run that worked.
Yeah, it's not exactly a trick play just because you use an unconventional personnel package. However I'm with GAVol. If our RBs can't run in short yardage situations behind this line, we are in trouble.
