Will Butch still use the Beast Package?

We shouldn't have to use it. Hopefully, it served its purpose - which in my mind was to show Neal how to HIT THE D#*mned LINE of SCRIMMAGE with a HEAD of STEAM!

BTW, it is basically the same OL as last year, so its a matter of backfield execution.

As much as I hope we do, it would never really work. If we're using a hurry up and we suddenly get into a goal line situation on a good play. The strength of the offense would be not to allow the defense to sub players.

NO. use alden hill instead. A.J. needs to focus on LB, where he will play in the NFL. Just imagine what our LB core would look like if AJ got hurt

Thats why I want Lane to start, he hits the hole like a running back should. It's like when we had Foster and Hardesty and Foster danced too much and Hardesty always hit the hole hard.

Line up in an inverted wishbone in goalline situations and line Hill up behind Big Dan and Mo. Run the dive almost every time. Like to see Mo hit the line behind Dan.

If he has to, we're in trouble.

I agree, using one of our LB's for short yardage doesn't really make sense.....I hope we can find a RB that can produce......that being said, we should do what ever works

How about a Power I formation with Big Dan and Tiny as FBs, Hill at RB (That would put Bullard at LT and Jackson at LG)?

Hope not. Run the offense with players in their own positions. The O-line will be good enough for any situation. The backfield better get it done. As has been said, if not, we're in trouble. But I don't think we are. As long as no prima donna spoilers jump out of the woodwork, I think Team #117 ground game will be better than we've seen for several years.

I hope not.....we don't need to loose AJ on an injury diving for the EZ when we should have a good OL. Can anyone imagine loosing him?

We know it would never happen...BUT it would be cool to see.

That's what I'm sayin. See Big Dan and Tiny bowl over an opposing DL with Hill diving into the endzone behind them. It would be a thing of beauty...but kinda weird to see before the snap.

I never thought putting your best LB in at Rb just to increase his chances on getting hurt was a good idea. Actually I thought it was just plain stupid. I hope to never see it again.

Plus, I hope CBJ doesn't copy anything dd did.

Never understood why we didn't use it on some 3 rd and short. Even if it was a screen or sneak instead just having him back there made the defense assume. And we know what happens when you assume.
