Will Grier

Everyone is a Heisman candidate before they play their first game. In reality though, WVU will not be as good (IMO) as the pundits say they will be. And typically your heisman comes from a team who was very successful. I don't see Grier winning it.

Over the past few years Tennessee has had unforgettable occurrences of taking players out of contention due to freak accidents. Not saying I hope this happens at all but something to watch for sure. :)

Now THAT is funny!!!

Is it? I mean, of course JG looked horrible last year, but who wouldn’t have? The coaching staff was a mess, and we had an OC that had no business calling plays at the SEC level. Listening to the EA show, it sounds like JG has looked really good this fall. It’s not that JG was a slouch coming out of high school either. He was the #1 dual threat QB in his class. Dude has all the weapons physically, he’s got the cajones to sit in the pocket (admittedly holding the ball way too long), but with a new OC that just coached up a Heisman candidate first round NFL QB in Sam Darnold, is it that crazy to think JG could turn things around and be a good QB? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying he’s a Heisman candidate, but I wouldn’t be shocked if he makes a name for himself this year and gets some hype going into next season.

He'll put up good numbers but unless he figures out how to win 10 out of 12 it won't be serious talk late.
