Will Heupel refuse a bowl invite like MO?

UT should turn down all bowls except the Music City. #paybackinNashville.

More stupid? I didn't use blue font or I still use # ?
Do you think turning down a bowl game would affect Tennessee's potential preseason rankings that come out May-June?

Probably not. But I just don't think any coach should give up those practices. Don't the Early enrollee get to practice too?

Especially if AL continues to be ranked ahead of TN in the CFP rankings.
I really think it would be interesting if Coach Heupel and Tennessee said F this and stayed home if they didn't get the Sugar Bowl.

Look at MO refusing their 1st bowl invite until they received the one they wanted to go to.
I do not think the UT football coach is the only one to say yes or no to a bowl game. I think the higher up at UT also makes that decision.

Hard to believe that you’re still on the Vols' side
This cockeyed idea of yours transcends space and time
I’ve never read or heard a thing like this in my life
Just can’t believe you posted what you did.

It was probably the dumbest move ever by Missouri. I would hope UT would never do something so weak and lame even if we would've had to suffer a Cotton Bowl selection this year, which fortunatelywe won't.
I thought when TA&M opted out of their bowl game a couple of years ago, it was a bad sign for their fans. Yeah, it was supposedly covid related, but they could have played. Never a good idea in my opinion.

I would back that decision with it if it's obvious that Tennessee was shafted

Nah that would be incredibly ignorant. It’s worth playing in any bowl for the extra practices alone.

If MO declines any bowl that's just crappy for the MO players. They're 6-6 and should be happy they barely qualify for any bowl. A .500 team should never go bowling, unless it's at the local bowling alley for team building and team Christmas party.

Something in me would love them to say f*** this very possible screwjob and stay home
I Know. But from a practical standpoint, the extra practices are critical for 2023. We will have to replace a lot of offense and every snap we can get is golden

Go to the Orange Bowl but possibly stay home if Tennessee gets sent to the Cotton Bowl or Citrus Bowl. Make a point about being screwed concerning bowl games.

This will not happen. The Orange Bowl is contractually obligated to take the ACC Champ (if not in the playoffs) which is Clemson and the highest ranking Big10, SEC or ND (also not in the playoffs or SEC team going to the Sugar Bowl). That is us.

Yes, and they’ll still be holding out their greedy fingers for their slice of the conference bowl revenues. I’d be surprised if they aren’t contractually obligated to take a bowl invitation.
