They won't move him. Wouldn't be surprised if he had surgery last night as a trauma patient or if they are trying to get the area calmed down a little prior to surgery.

Yeah, he needs a skilled ortho trauma surgeon along with a vascular surgeon on stand by. Andrews is great, but this is not something he does. He may pick it up later, but he needs/needed emergent stabilization.

Andrews operated on my knee after I was injured in a helicopter accident back in 1980. He is a great guy and one of the foremost ortho surgeons in the world. However, Lattimore is probably in the hands of a team of Vascular, internal Medicine, and Dr. Andrews team... with Andrews being team leader. At leaset that was my experience with him.

Even as much as I hated to see another Vol loss yesterday, I hated to see this fine young man, who has gone through so much already, get hurt so badly. My prayers go out to Marcus and his family as they go through yet another time of recovery and painful rehab. ><>

Andrews just can't fly in and operate at any hospital he wants to. It's more complicated than that.

Anyone that has had a serious football injury should find it easy to have sympathy for Marcus and I hope he can rehab and have continued success. :huggy:

Good to hear. James Andrews is the best of the best ( I had occasion to use him when I lived in the Bham area). He has a great team and had whatever people he needed to get this young man back on the road to recovery...

Hope he does well and recovers nicely.
