Will the next coach bring back the orange blazer?

wesrucker247 I asked Cuonzo Martin if he'd rock a bright orange blazer. He said that would be his wife's decision.

Hope that means no. On Martin, that's an awful lot of orange.

I think he does it because he knows he has to win over the fans, and bringing back the blazer shows that he respects the traditions here at Tennessee. I think it would be good for Martin to bring it back, but I wont be disappointed if he doesn't.

Just something to think about. I personally liked the orange blazer for the Vandy and UK games, I thought it embraced one of the traditions at Tennessee. I know Bruce brought it back, but that doesn't mean the next coach couldn't keep it going.

It really wasn't a Tennessee tradition, but a Ray Mears tradition.(of course Mears was UT to a certain extent...coining the phrase Big Orange Country and being more popular with the students than Doug Dickey) Now, I believe Mears to be the best coach ever at UT and Pearl, in an effort to show reverence for him, brought it back. If Cuonzo decides to keep it, fine. If he doesn't, fine. He has to make his OWN path the best way HE knows how to do it.

Mears started it yes, but Mears was a part of Tennessee history. Therefore, making it a Tennessee tradition. Martin is his own person, and I would hope he embraces some the traditions as Bruce did. If he doesn't bring back the blazer thats fine, but I do think it would be a good move to win some of the fans over. Which is something he's going to have to do.
