Doubt it becomes the main offense of many teams, maybe added in as a change up. An NFL season, with 16 games plus post season, is a long time to expect an option QB to stay healthy. College can manage this with 12 games plus 1-2 post season games, against college players, but I don't see it in the NFL, not that it doesn't work, but the durability is an issue if you expect to win championships.
