I think it's funny that a guy that's not affiliated with the Republican Party repeatedly tries to tell Republicans who speaks for them and then completely ignores their denials.

I think the main problem with the Republican party is that right now there is no real leader and this accounts for why many on the left view him as the voice of the party. That being said those that do are giving him way too much credit. It is the conservatives who have been abandoned by the party who are the driving force here, Rush just happens to be the most widely listened to conservative radio personality that this demographic listens too. Republicans for years have seen the shift in their own party to the left on many issues and are fed up with it. He just happens to see it the same way and speaks out about it.

And yet this board is littered with thousands of posts by republican members who quote Michael Moore or Barbara Streisand as the official arbiter of the Democratic Party.

Listen to Hannity for 5 mintues., Guarantee in one breath he'll take one sentence from the furthest left he can find and in the next breath ascribe that to every Democrat, elected or otherwise.

Limbaugh and Hannity's abuse of the straw man tactic is the stuff of legend.

This is common place for any TV or radio personality regardless of political leanings.

If there are thousands of those posts, I think you should go ahead and quote one right here for us. Shouldn't take too long. And after the absurd amount of criticism you've dumped all over this board regarding Hannity and his organization, I figured you wouldn't want to borrow his strategies.

I know how ot search, i.e. "Moore" but all it does is give me the thread. Is there a way to search either the board or a particular thread and quickly find the reference?
