My question is how did they have so many open receivers downfield? The option offense is supposed to mean assignment defense yet no one was anywhere near some of their receivers.

Our secondary fell asleep at times because of the lack of passing. How many times did AF actually throw the ball? 6 times the whole game?

I think that 1. the defense overlooked Air Force, and 2. the triple option that has been ran by Air Force is an unbelieveable offense. Just think if they had the athletes other schools had.

UT will be ready for nxt wk, don't let what happened tonite fool you. they just overlooked air force, and who wouldnt, they played a top ten team last wk and beat them easily, and next wk they have another top ten team. it's hard to get up for air force

This game had all the trimmings for an upset. Big emotional win over a top 10 team the week before, a big top 10 rival in UF coming up and an ANNOYING Air Force offense..

So with that, I'm just glad our guys found a way to win tonight. Survive and advance.

I've seen this statement a couple of times... have you guys thought that maybe the "athletes" we talk about don't HAVE the discipline to run the flexbone, and that is why it is dying?

I am just glad they did not have that much of a defense. God knows what could have happened if they did!!! (well besides us losing)

True that. The O was outstanding tonight... also, for those that are upset about the running game tonight... we didn't have the ball enough TIMES to rack up a bunch of rushing yards. That, and the passing game was just clicking too well.

I guess you could say we are not prepared, but If Chavis has one weekness I would say it is the option. We seem to have a really bad time with it.

Chavis probably just wants to kick the ol' AD for scheduling AF, and throw the tape away.

I dont see a point in watchin the film for the defense. We will not see that sort of option again. The offense could watch the film. And we most definately need to watch the film for the onside kicks!!!

Florida week starts tomorrow, time to put this game in the video library and go on to the next one.
