Will the real Tennessee please stand up

It's a young, inexperienced team, and this is how that kind of team plays. Up and down. The schedule is a little ambitious, but I think it's a calculated move by Coach Pearl meant to help get these guys ready for the SEC schedule and make them a better team in March.

The Temple loss an upset, I don't think so. Ever since Tennessee beat Georgetown our teams have gone in opposite directions. They have shown vast improvement, playing with confidence and we stink. I bet Georgetown would beat us by 20 if we played tomorrow.Good job Bruce.

Thank you for making me smile at a woe with Tennessee post.

do what? They're all slashers. It's the shooters that are the problem right now.
exactly, there is absolutely no reason for hte defense to come out and guard anyone. the lanes are shut down.

that's why they've sucked so bad going to the basket. they don't get clean shots and have gotten a lot of charges as well.

TYler Smith has proven adept to making hte garbage shot (a compliment), but that can't be the extent of our offense.

bottom line as i see it right now, until teams have a reason to respect us, just a little bit, from the perimeter or even the mid range, the inside game will fail.

defensively, they aren't much better in the half court, if at all actually, then they were last year. and given the number of empty trips they've gotten in the last 3 games, that kills the press and forces them out of what they want to do.

Gonzaga and Temple beat us the way you beat us. there is a formual right now and until we do something to buck the trend, when we lose, this will be how it happens.

You can tell that we have been a "football" school for a long time. The basketball IQ leaves a little to be desired.
Certainly true with me, but I just wish someone would tell our guys when all of em wear the white head bands it looks stupid.

Bruce said before this game they were not anywhere close to the team we had last year, so we had to see this coming. I think they will rebound off of this loss. There were quite of few ranked teams that got upset this weekend. At least three that I know of. (Kansas, TN, Gonzaga) In basketball with so many games, teams are going to get upset from time to time. You can't let one loss determine the rest of the season for us.
