Maybe.

So one of the unexpected consequences of this is that with an "approved" vaccine forced out of the gate, people will no longer volunteer to be inoculated with some random crazy ass test vaccine. Need 30K to do a Stage 3.

And... oh BTW....

The FDA will approve a Stage 3 drug if it achieves 50% efficacy (performs 50% better than a placebo). So... vaccine is 50% effective. Grandma gets vaccine, thinks "I'm good!", goes out, catches CV19, dies.

Wut?

If you are basing on 50% that’s actually a better rate than the flu shot grandma gets . I believe it’s somewhere between 30-60% ( if they even guess the right strain ) .

Mods, given the evolving vaccination situation, this poll is different than the prior one. Please keep both. Thx.
If it gets me into a UT game I will

Two-thirds of Americans say they won't get COVID-19 vaccine when it's first available, USA TODAY/ Suffolk Poll shows

Like the last poll on the subject, if my employer requires it, I’ll get one. Otherwise, I’ll pass.
