In the past, I've sat in sections 508 or 509 in the upper deck and 16 or 17 in the lower. Those tickets all were from UT Tix office.

Mine are in 502. We got them thru UT office so I am assuming they are in the UT section. Never been to USC before. Anyone have any advice on parking and other tips for the game in Columbia?? thanks!

Exit off I-77 onto Bluff Road. There is plenty of parking on the road on the way down to the stadium. The neat thing about Williams-Brice is that it sits in the middle of the fairgrounds and it's extremely flat compared to Knoxville. What it lacks in ambience, it makes up for in how easy it is to walk around.

this is sort of a cross post form the ticket forum, but...

How hard do you guys think it will be to get a ticket at the stadium that day? I went last time we played in Columbia, and got tickets for face right away, albeit in a SC section where we got a few dirty looks.

Does anyone think Gameday will have an effect in terms of trying to get tickets?

You may want to load up on food/beverages before you get there. Like GA Vol said, the stadium is at the fairground and surrounded by an industrial park. Not many restaurants or stores close by.

This is good advice.

also, if anybody is going to have a tv going and wouldn't mind someone watching with them, let me know. I will bring baseball bats and promise you the best dizzy bat races. (after a few drinks of course)

You sound like me. I got free tickets for the last game in Columbia from a friend. He forgot to tell me it was in the middle of the Gamecock fan club section. Needless to say, I didn't make any friends that day. They didn't enjoy hearing my off-key singing of Rocky Top that day either.:dance2:

Here's a little scoop on the stadium, pkg and etc:

UT Sports

++++++++++++++++++++++++

Join the Tennessee Alumni Association for the 2006 Big Orange Tailgate Tour when it rolls into Columbia Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006 from 4:45 - 6:45 p.m.
Come and join fellow Vols fans at Seawell's Catering (on the state fairgrounds, next to stadium), 1125 Rosewood Drive, for a pre-game pep rally before cheering on the Vols in Columbia.
We will have the UT pep band, cheerleaders, door prizes, games/trivia contests, a cash bar, tailgate style food and spirit buttons for sale.

There will not be many tix for sale in the parking lot....maybe none....this game is big to SC especially with gameday here and also after beating UT last year. Have your tix before you get here or you may have to pay a high price or you may not get in.....I live in lexington, right outside of cola town.

It will be a "tougher" ticket, but I've been to a lot of SC games and I've always seen tickets on the street.

how many times have you been after SC beat UT the year before.....not that many. ....enter Spurrier....enter gameday...result.....very tough ticket.

Don't believe him.

We're going without tickets.

Worst case scenario, we use a SC fan's ticket in the third quarter. I know two years ago when the Vols came out firing in the second half there were waves of people leaving. It was pathetic. The worst display of another team's fans lack of support I have ever seen.

I remember seeing a lot of crying vol fans last year after the game....I didnt hear rocky top. Just imagine that the great vols could ever lose to the gamecocks.....yeah....there sure was a lot of school spirit in TN that night.

I got to agree there. Last year after the tough losses UT took, fans in my area were wanting to kill Ainge, Fire Phil, and were talking about how bad they suck.

it's a nice stadium, but the atmosphere, is well, lacking....the last time we went, we wound up parking in the back of some warehouse....oh well...y'all have fun...pull out a winner for us!!!

Go Vols!

nothing personal, as I'm sure the ticket will be tougher than normal. but how many times have you actually been there the year after SC beat UT? I know you haven't done it before, because SC only has 3 wins in the entire series, two of them being in Columbia. math majors will be quick to notice that means last year was your only win in neyland. again though, the ticket will be tougher than normal, w/ gameday, spurrier, yada yada yada.. but if i can get a ticket for 75 to ut-bama, you can find a ticket to ut-usc

thats what I said....pay through the nose to get it.....dont expect to find them on the ground.....if you come with that expectation. you are not going to get into the game. I dont care if you bring every UT fan you have.....there wont be seats for you.
