Man, that brings back memories. They swarmed!!!!

Their all black uni's were cool(if my memory serves me right) as opposed to that crap FSU wore last weekend.
South Carolina came as close to beating the "U's" great 1987 team as anyone did. Todd Ellis was tough.

Neyland stadium is a DUMP....the place is falling down. Its trashy looking, and the only reason it holds so many people is because they pack you in like sardines....there is no space....walkways or seats.

Gamecock, I like most visiting posters.. usually i like them more than a lot of regulars... but do you just enjoy coming w/ nonsensical ideas that just aren't true. You have a stadium in the middle of an industrial park w/ the most exciting thing around it being the railroad tracks. Neyland's got a class about it that comes from all the tradition and great players it has seen during it's time. not to mention all the changes they are making to it. as i told you in your other post, tickets won't be all that hard to get at brice, and for this, i don't even think the AD down there at usc would want to argue brice to neyland... give it up man, we like ya on here, but at least have some shreds of realism... yeah, spurrier might bring ya'll to something one day, but you're far from that yet. dont' think you're the cock of the walk just cuz you're a bunch of cocks

Getting into Williams Brice is like getting a seat on my couch in my living room.

There's pleanty of room available and I don't have to pay hardly anything to get in and sit down.

It's not hard to get tickets to ANY team that has two losses and has won games against Wofford and Florida Atlantic.

as long as the players are not outside the stadiume when the game starts, i think we'll be just fine.

you do realize fans go down to tailgate w/ no intentions of dropping 50-75 more dollars on the game and watch it on their direct TV... so you will be able to get pics... i still say plenty of scalpers will be there w/ reasonably priced tickets man.. i'm not saying it doesnt' happen here at neyland. that's how i went last saturday. i'm just saying the ut fans are getting in.

I don't think I've ever paid more than face value at Williams Brice.

Nor have I, Scott. It's never been an issue before, so I find it hard to understand why it would be an issue now. I say load up the wagons and make the trip down. Our winning percentage in Williams-Brice is better than it is in Neyland - We should wear colored jerseys in this game and get more tickets. Playing at W-B is like having a home-field advantage.

i have to disagree with the comment that Neyland is a dump, went there last year and came away quite impressed. it could use a little work on the exterior, but it sounds like they are doing some changes from what ive read, but overall very nice. also w-b has had alot of work done during the offseason. theyve painted the light supports, done some pressure washing, and added alot of color to the stadium. before someone starts ripping on another stadium, they shouldve took a long look at their own, w-b was looking pretty rough and with the work thats been done its looking alot better, and hopefully will continue to look better. but hats off to yall, very nice stadium and a great place to tailgate before the game down by the river!

Yes. It is pretty widely regarded as the best venue for college football. It's the best I've been to so far.

This will be my first trip to W-B and looking forward to it. I have been to the top 3 SEC stadiums often regarded as the best "in-stadium" atmosphere, those being Neyland (obviously), The Swamp and Tiger Stadium. Going to W-B and Fayetteville this year and looking forward to both.

Excellent advice on the lack of restaurants and bars around W-B. My brother and I are thinking of getting some Big Orange Tailgate tix and have done it for a few away games in the past but not TV's for other games being played. Is there a chance that there will be any at this BO Tailgate? I really don't want to miss the Cocktail Party.

Thanks for any answers.:good!:

Go to The Vista before the game, there are plenty of rest. and bars there. There is not much of anything near the stadium other than private tailgate facilities.

That would be great right there. Most Tennessee fans I know are also big college football fans in general so there has got to be interest in watching that game at the BO Tailgate.
