This is true, but apparently nobody could stand to work for him. His coaches kept leaving until he got to the point that he had to promote a middling TE coach to OC. That was when I kinda figured he was done.

I do. Every other head coach we’ve had immediately tried to find work after leaving Tennessee. Butch tried to bleed Tennessee as long as he could and truly hated the school after leaving.

It’s not speculation to say he brought in a ton of talent but didn’t win because he had horrible coordinators.

This. There's a reason I stopped watching or listening to any pre-game, halftime, post-game, or mid-week media nonsense about 20 years ago, and feel like I kept a lot of brain cells and sanity in that time.

The media (ex-players and coaches included) are generally no more informed or deliver any more insight than any fan who watches the game and pays attention. The media (sports, politics, etc.) is only about accumulating clicks and views, nothing more and nothing less.
