I understand your point. In my heart of hearts I'm wishing for a Vol win Saturday. I know the history of Alabama and their stockpiled 5 star players. But sometimes the cohesiveness and dedication of a lesser team can overcome these advantages. Both Alabama and Georgia have had mediocre outings this year. If Tennessee can have a relatively error free game we might be able take advantage of Alabama or Georgia letdowns! If we put up a fight, I’m content with it either way. I’d be ecstatic if they win. No one expected us to be where we are right now with this opportunity. You can’t put the last 15 years on this current staff and players. It’s the progress that matters. GO VOLS!!!
Okay, so just who are the "expert bettors" you said favor Bama? Can you provide a source?
In my experience, the wisdom goes like this: "amateurs place their bets the week prior. Experts decide and place their bets in the last 24 hours."
So what experts are you talking about?
That doesn't mean the experts are betting that way, Al-not-from-Alabama.Alabama is a 7.5-point favorite in the game, according to Tipico Sportsbook.
Google is quick and easy. I got this source in about 10 seconds. I stopped there, sure that I could get more if necessary. So could you.
I think we going to beat them both with my orange glasses on . But if I had to chose to lose one it would be Georgia because UT can still get in the playoffs with 1 loss I think . But since undefeated is better they both going down lol
I've said it before....I always saw this as an 7-8 win team. What they've done to date has been fantastic. Never imagined a season like this. They're playing with house money Saturday and vs UGA. This team has a real shot at 9 wins and a great bowl. When you consider that and the fact that he's done it with this roster, it's a minor miracle. No offense to the kids, but let's be honest and admit that this is not an upper level SEC roster at some positions and definitely lacking in depth. No, I won't hold it against Heupel should we lose to Bama at home. We're not close to their level in terms of the roster. Having said that, this is the first time in a long, long time where I think we've got a real shot to beat them. Gonna take a hell of an effort by everyone, but it's doable for this bunch. Should be a great game.Since I posted from the beginning I felt similarities between this season and the 98 season which I had season tickets (only time ever) I was wondering will you be okay if we lose close or are you tired of excuses as I am? I mean nearly fifteen years out of the last twenty years we been a laugher up on the hill. Just wondering.

No matter what happens at this point Heupel has us going in the right direction. He could lose to Alabama, Georgia, and Kentucky and I’d still be happy with the 9 win season. I’d be disappointed if we dropped one to South Carolina or Missouri and finished 8-4 at this point though.Since I posted from the beginning I felt similarities between this season and the 98 season which I had season tickets (only time ever) I was wondering will you be okay if we lose close or are you tired of excuses as I am? That doesn't mean the experts are betting that way, Al-not-from-Alabama.
That means the Vegas bookies (not bettors, bookies) think the betting public will put about half the money down on either side of that line.
You have no idea how the experts are betting, do you? [they probably don't know themselves, yet, waiting for hints about Bama's QB]
Going 10-2 even with losses to Alabama and Georgia is a huge step up for the program and will probably mean Tennessee plays in the Sugar,Orange or Citrus Bowls.
Realistically I don’t think many expected us to be where we are atm so I don’t want to lose but if we get 9 or 10 wins this year we need to be grateful because we’ve seen the alternative.
