Wind chill in Columbus predicted to be 14 at kickoff

When we went to Antarctica a few years ago, the most important thing was the base layer. We went with Merino wool for the base and then layered over that - usually a henley, a sweatshirt and a coat. We often ended up ditching our coats because the base layer was so effective. Good wool socks and good gloves were also essential!
This is the way. Aggressive layering is key. One time I made the mistake of shoveling snow all layered up like that in single-digit weather (wind-chill below zero I believe) and I overheated to the point of having a headache. Very dumb.

I have done the same when hunting whitetails in December when I was a young man. I overheated hiking in one morning in the teens to the point where I nearly vomited. I had to strip down and cool off for like 10 minutes then never got confortable.

Never again. Layering up at the right time is the best option.

I believe there should be no hosts for playoff games.
And all games should be played in domed stadiums or California, Arizona or Florida if they aren’t domed.
Playing games in 14 degrees is ridiculous especially for the fans.

Meh, I don't mind the occasional cold weather endeavor.

It's 3 hours man and it's purely voluntary. Not like if you don't wanna go, you are gonna be fired or something.

Been to games in Green Bay when it was colder than 14 and it didn't really bother me that much. Once you're in the stadium and at your seats you're packed in like sardines anyway.

Worst parts were actually walking to the stadium and waiting for the place to fill up. That was pretty cold lol. Trips to the restroom or concession stands were not very fun either.

I will add that we-and here I mean the SEC collectively-need to blow this cold weather thing out of the park. Blow out the Suckeyes and put that SEC teams can't play on the cold myth to rest. We do that and the fear of God will be put into the entire B10.

I can't make the game, so a a buddy of mine from North Jersey ( US Headquarters for Amateur Droners ) for who is a Sr. Drone Enthusiast...., is sending a UT TV Drone to Columbus so that I can have my own direct link to the game. Buddy said he expects hundreds of Drones flying over the stadium by game time!! Go Vols!!

It's not the Iranians
It's not the Russians. It's not the Chinese.

It's just a bunch of dang hillbillies with drones.

I like it

Would scare the crap out of Suckeye fans. Truth be told, it doesn't take a whole lot to do that anyway.

That should mean plenty of kickoff returns.

😦 Do we have anyone left from the portal exodus to man our special teams?
That may be where we took the biggest hit for this game.
