Windy's football discussion thread.

Guess it was the WR from USC you were hearing about. Velus Jones. Hopefully he can come in and help. Didn't do much at USC, but it was a crowded WR room. We'll see what happens.

Saw earlier that the WF grad transfer QB is getting CB'd to UGA. Had heard he was trending Oregon previously. Not sure if we're actually looking at him or not, just a rumor I read somewhere in the RF.

Trey coming back is big, and there's a very good chance Cade Mays gets a waiver. Our OL next year could be beastly.

From what I understand, Trey's draft grade played a part in his decision. Apparently his blood clot issue hurt him more than expected. Pray that the docs can keep it under control and that another successful season with it under control will show NFL teams he's worth a high pick.

Actually I’ve heard a little more.
Apparently someone reached out to us who isn’t in the portal yet and we told them we could not talk to them till they were.
Supposed to be a DE.

Interesting. Wonder who it could be?

A UGA alum at work actually sought me out to complain about Tennessee "poaching" Cade May. When I offered that just maybe, May was wanting to be closer to home and play on the same team as his younger brother, my colleague's retort was, "That's what you all say."

If he cared that much, seems like he would have known there's an "s" at the end of his name.

He needs to work more and seek abuse less.

That's my blue pencil mistake. Auto complete/correct took the "s" to be errant. Had I noticed and put it back to "Mays," likely it would have stayed that way.

What if Bailey comes in looking like Joe Flaco when he won the superbowl, and Holiday looks like Lamar Jackson. Who would you play?
