Windy's football discussion thread.

I remember that day well. I was helping a girl install a Thule rack in the freezing cold hurrying to finish before the game began.

Years ago, I wrote to the Washington Redskins organization to suggest that they change their logo from the depiction of a Native American man to redskinned peanuts in open shells and the feathers to sprigs of flowering peanut plant. They can keep their name, create a new child-friendly plush suit mascot, Goober, and create a whole new branded merchandise opportunity. With the mascot change, they could embark on a goodwill program which includes donations to research on peanut allergies, making epipens available to disadvantaged children, Native Americans rights legal funds, and equal justice initiatives. Goober could debut in tours of children’s hospitals, making gifts of Goober toys to patients and new logo Redskins merchandise to staff. Win, win, win.
