They are amazing creatures for sure, but I ain't about to ride one.My favorite. Job 39:19-25 KJV.
19 Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?
20 Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.
21 He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.
22 He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.
23 The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.
24 He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.
25 He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.
I just read this the other night. I've read it before, but verse 22 kinda stuck out to me.My favorite. Job 39:19-25 KJV.

Can’t stand them. Got thrown by a horse in college, I swear the stupid thing looked down and laughed before it went galloping off.
When I got thrown, it was over it’s head on a gravel road. Ouch.I've been thrown off horses a few times.
One of them was when I was a kid and we had a church retreat at Chickasaw State Park. The horse bucked, I flipped forward, my back hit a tree and I slid down into a poison ivy patch. It was cartoonish.
horses were pretty common before u went into COVID hidingI've been thrown off horses a few times.

We had hogs and dogs and chickens, but no horses. The last time I got on one I went completely over it, hit the ground looking up at it and thought it was going to step on me. That ended my horse riding career...We had several growing up so I was around them. They're majestic. Those verses capture them perfectly. /
We had horses, shetland ponies, cows, ducks, pigs and a goat up until I was about 15. My dad raised and trained bird dogs for a while. RIP Redclay. We had hogs and dogs and chickens, but no horses. I have also gone over the jump when my horse stopped right in front of it, I had Princess from when I was 10 years old until my early 40's and when she passed I wrote a poem about her,I rode when I was young. Used to exercise show jumpers and steeplechasers. Once, I was putting a Morgan through its paces in the ring. At the critical moment in an approach to a jump, it stopped on a dime and threw me through the rails. I got up, reassembled the jump, got back on the horse, and rode it over the jump. Avoided that horse, afterwards.
