Windy's football discussion thread.

Well I know this, if he felt hurried against Bam he ain't seen nothing yet. our Pass rush is second to NONE.

You arent wrong. But if we cant block UGA's front four, they will take the air out of the ball and make Beck be a game manager. That plays right into their hands just like they did in 22 with Stetson...

whose been better at keeping dline fresh and rotated then Tn this year? Don't get me wrong I know we're the under dog.....but we got all the tools needed. I'm stil of the opinion that as much as is said about our offense, it's the Tennessee Defense that is the game changer this year.

Every time I read a post declaring "we haven't been tested" or "we haven't played anyone with a pulse yet" makes me think we have gone from moral victories to moral losses.

It is somewhat entertaining... I guess.

Very true and very tiring. Not sure about the entertainment value.

These "fans" simply refuse to live in, and appreciate, the moment. They can't get their hopes up because we "haven't been tested". They can't dare to think we are as good as we look because "we haven't played anyone with a pulse". They want assurances that we can compete and beat Alabama, UGA, Texas, et al. Where's the fandom in that? There are no guarantees in sports.
And if UT looks outstanding against Bama, the narrative will be..."Bama had an off night, they lost a key player, we haven't been really tested bc they weren't at their best".

Does UT have to beat the Kansas City Chiefs before there is buy in?

I don't find it entertaining much anymore. I've called out 2 of them today and it's too tiring to even try to mess with.

1. we are 1 of the 5 or 6 best teams in the country.
2. Saturday night turned out perfect IMO. Both teams showed literally everything they have. We play the winner in Knoxville and the loser in their house. Best scenario.
3. Appreciate it while you can. We have seent what lies on the otherside.

I like watching the "crispness" of how the Vols play no matter who they are playing. How they respond to adversity (bad field conditions, turnovers, penalties, bad calls by refs, injuries, opposing team key player changes).

As @Behr likes to say, and I agree 100%, if we are taking the fight to them for 60 minutes and come up short.. I can accept that, I'll be disappointed, but I can accept it.

This is the only fact about football I can accurately predict 100% of the time:
Of all the teams that play, half will lose and half will win.

It depends.
Did people use dey experience using video game controllers to help the coaches call the right plays and beat em by at least 30?
Or did we sneek out a close road win?
