So are we ranked 7 or 8. I see 7 in the polls but the brackets show us at 8 and playing Indiana. If we are 7, then we play ND, if we are 8, we play IU. NCAA can't get anything right.

The reason for that is BYU. As a conference champion, they have to be in that group of four champions.
So for bracket purposes they're a "4," but the CFP didn't rank them a "4."
and that throws everybody except Oregon, Georgia, and Miami down one

Five SEC teams have one conference loss. Of those, UGA and TAMU have two conference games left to play. UT has three, and Texas & LSU have four. That’s a lot of football to work through.

Oh ok - last week some site showed vs ND and it said Sugar Bowl Jan 1 and already was sold out - I assume first round games will be played sooner ?

Yes. It’s either the SECCG or the playoffs. Chances aren’t that high, but it’s possible. To mollify any anxiousness, it’s inevitable that Texas and Tennessee play home and away (to which I look forward).

we would crush IU. us vs Oregon would be a very good game.
Ohio State would probably beat Boise but I could see it being close. whoever wins it however crushes BYU
Bama/Texas would be a good game. Whoever wins that would crush Miami
Notre Dame/Ped State is a boring arsed game. winner would be crushed by UGA.
