If someone didn't think we should hire Schiano because of the PSU mess, should they feel the same about Briles?

Reports of Freeze taking the head job at Liberty. It’s more than just TN passing on him if that's the case. There are either too many skeletons or someone higher than TN are saying no

This is acceptable imo. I don’t think it’s justifiable to want any of them if you don’t want one due to previous issues. For GS, I think his involvement with PSU is way overblown, but the MRSA incident in TB and his treatment of players is alarming. And he’s just a crappy coach

Just to bring it full circle, Liberty University, founded by Jerry Falwell, and now ran by Jerry Jr, brought Ian McCaw in to be AD. He was Baylor’s AD during their scandal(s).

I don’t know if either would do good here or not. It’s just my opinion that the outrage wasn’t really about the personal stuff. I personally agreed with @Unknown Muppet (rape stove) I would like just a small amount of honesty and character from a Tennessee coaching staff.

I’d hire all those people as long as Lane Kiffin was head coach. We’d be a dynasty. Nobody going to beat us. Ain’t cheating unless you trying

I was just seeing the argument that raping women wasn't as bad as raping children and therefore Briles is okay.

Yes, I understand that neither raped anyone, I'm just fascinated by the argument in general.

With our history of Kiffen and pearl nearly getting us in trouble with the NCAA, hiring anyone questionable isn’t smart.

And I still contend that had CGS been a coach people thought could win then almost nobody would have had issue with his time at Penn State.

I don't know, I'm finding myself not being good with Briles because of the Baylor stuff.

I would have been all on board with Freeze, but I've changed my mind, I agree with you, Id be happier with a coaching staff that wasn't somehow related to hookers or rape. I'll also continue being a Vol fan whoever we end up with.

I was against Kitchens at first, but after talking to chargervol, I don't think its possible, but I would love that hire.

I also don't think that Troy HC is possible, but that would be a great hire too IMO.

I just hope its not Friend.

If Pruitt is what we hope he is, as long as we get a good OC we should be just fine. We don't "HAVE" to have a "Home run" hire.

I don’t support or really want that crap here but all the best coaches cheat and do bad things. Kiffin, Briles, Patrino, Freeze. Pearl, Pitino, and Calamari in basketball, UConn men’s and Syracuse coach who Pearl squealed on. Dabo at Clemson giving out 100 dollar bills. Bama is worst but the NCAA looks the other way. Hookers and money is very real in college sports

UH 2018 offense averaged 301 yards passing, 228 yards rushing, 46 pts against AAC competition.
