I honestly think we can win it this year. Regular season and tournament. Kentucky wont be as good as last year and we have added a bunch of good players. Florida will be a challenge and maybe Georgia. Overall I think we have a very good chance, anybody else think so?

If Tobias is as good as promised and we get some consistant outside shooting. I think Maymon will add another dimension to our team. I hope Williams keeps improving as he has done each year. All said and done I think we will be a great team at the end of the year. GBO

I think on paper UK and probably Florida have more talent than we do, but we can definitely make a run. Unlike last year when I was willing to talk about roster I think to have a real educated guess it will take watching most of the CBB season pre SEC.

If UK bonds quickly they could be brutal. Last year they had tons of NBA talent and no one who could hit an outside shot. I think that will not be a problem this year.

UF could have a frontcourt that will be anything but soft. Some people act like we will be awesome because of Tobias Harris but that UF will not get any contributions from their freshmen. It is puzzling.

UGA I think will look great heading into the SEC schedule but I am not scared of them. TN has a good strength matchup to their strength and I think we will beat them.

Vandy...I think they could make the tournament this year which means that it will be very tough to beat them at their place.

The SEC East is the finest assemblage of divisional talent in CBB. If the west was as good as the east, the SEC would be the top conference in CBB.

I've heard that privately Williams has taken a few steps back in individual workouts as far as effort and commitment go.

Hopefully that changes when practice starts.

Yep, I expect UF to make a trip to the Final Four this year just like they did last year.

I came into this thread from the main page. Thought this was a football topic.

That's too bad... I was ready to talk crap :(

I think we have a pretty good chance too. We have a lot of talent, and possibly the best team chemistry we've has in years. Just going by our track record, it may be a stretch to think we can win the conference and the tourney. I do believe we will win one, but hopefully both! Go Vols!

Hmmm Thats totally the opposite of what the media has been reporting..not to say they are right. Witch Doctor ask nicely; whats your source?

My guess/hope is that like a lot of bb players the season is right around the corner and most guys are sick of workouts and want get the season cranked up.
We need Big Brian, hope this trend doesn't continue.

My sources deep within the program are saying Brian is putting in more effort than anyone on the team. Big source. TIFWIW.

Yeah tobias goes to the gym at 2 am to work on his shooting. I don't know of anyone else on the team that does that other than Mcrae.

Most so-called experts are picking us 3rd in the East. Either Ky or Fla. are picked to win the division. I would think this is about right, at this point.

I love all the "sources" we have on this board. All the reliable info they give us is so invaluable. If they were smart, they'd start their OWN message board and just watch the Adsense Dollars start rolling in. Or maybe....

What does this mean? If you hate everything that's being said on here, why are you still here?

This board is full of Marc Maggards, they just haven't realized their potential yet.

Where is the Frosty-Tipped Blogger? You figure he'd be eating this whole Pearl-lying mess up. His absence is really odd, now that I think about it....
He and Forbes are actually pals. Maggard may be looking into how much Fat Bastard is going to pay the internet monitor.

I laughed. I admit it. You never touched on the timing of Forbes' diatribe against message boards and its inconvenient timing given that it happened right before the lying was exposed. Related?
