Oh man! My first semester of college! I didn't have cable in my dorm room and rabbit ears couldn't pick up any signals through the thick bricked walls of Gibbs Hall. I ended up watching it on the little 13-inch TV in the basement laundry room.

"I'm a soldier" was a common thing to hear people yelling at each other on campus the rest of the semester.

We didn’t feel safe until were got back to our car parked
at Julio’s house in Little Havana. Julio invited us in for
drinks. No extra charge. Great family.

Lots of the fans that traveled to Knoxville were garbage. By far the worst fans I’ve ever encountered.

I went to the game with a bus load of UT Tampa Alumni fans.
Miami fans were talking trash but they were nowhere near as hostile as the Gator fans in Gainesville.
Vols ended the Hurricanes home win streak that afternoon.
Trip back to Tampa was fun.
20 years ago this year. Time flying by
