I know I'm new to the board but is this how our fan base seriously treats each other? Get outta here with that. That's ridiculous. Not everyone will agree with each other. Thought we were all rooting for the same thing here.... Mind blowing.

Relax bro.

That's a bamma fan trolling our board I responded to. Not a Vol...

Oh ok haha. I'm still learning my way around here lol.

You are right though.

I didn't have to reduce myself to that level.

I'll just add him to the ignore list and not respond to that kind of mess in the future.

Being on the radar for all to see is therapeutic for a team in many ways. The bright lights can create stage fright in many and anxiety and subpar performances often occur. You develop team chemistry and toughness through the physical and emotional adversity. Bama has been in so many top 10, top 5 matchups as the #1 and defending champs, the pressure of the bullseye is just a given. Everyone's fastball, their best effort, is also a given. Look at how 10essee just conducted themselves when the #1 team in the land visited Neyland. Look at the still raging emotional aftermath?

You want to be like the Tide, sure you do, you talk about it all the time, then learn to embrace the big moment. Otherwise, these weak arguments about everything that went wrong, instead of excepting ownership of the cold, hard, facts, will only promise similar results.

No kidding. I don't recall ever seeing the injury bug hit a team like it has this one.

Hopefully we wont see it again for a long time. Its like the 500 year flood. But I agree. Been following the Vols for 40+ years and never once have I seen this many injuries in one season especially to our big time players...But hopefully we can get somewhat healthy and ride this thing out.

The playoff committee is very subjective. A two loss sec champion is a legit playoff contender. How many other teams in the nation would be 5-2 or better through the 7 week stretch we had?

Looks to be about 10-12 teams at this point which have. C'mon, VT is a not breaking the crust ACC team, GA lost to Vandy, and we've fans stating FL may lose 3 more. Our only top 25 win is FL. What we've done is only special within the context of TN having been in the doghouse so long. Objectively, though, nothing exceptional.

I agree but with the caveat that the 2 loss Vols still need help. Not too much help, but we can't have 4 undefeateds from the other conferences. Very unlikely they will have 4 undefeated, but that would shut us out.

After at least 1 other conference champ losing a game, I think toppling an undefeated bumma juggernaut in the SECCG is the only way we get into the playoffs over a 1 loss conference champ.

The most unlikely under the radar way for us to get in is aTm beating bumma then losing to us in the SECCG, and there is another 2 loss conference champ including us. Now that would be under the radar.

Personaly, I want bama in the SECCG.
