Agreed...focus will probably be on building the lines, LBs and RBs and plugging a top ranked QB into that foundation next year if one not available this year. Like Saban, I'm sure we're going to see some turnover in the roster which means scholies will be a premium since some former starters/projected starters will be tieing up a scholy. That's why non essentials or not high probably starters such as Boyd have been urged to look elsewhere.

Also, I think I've read that his numbers had a big dropoff because his offensive line is terrible, and he has no running game to really help him.

He's also the consensus #1 recruit in the country. Lets look at Rivals history with #1s.

Adrian Peterson
Derrick Williams
Percy Harvin
Jimmy Clausen
Terrelle Pryor

I watched video on Aaron Murray from Elite 11 and his arm looked really strong. Nice touch, but good power as well. Most of his balls were perfect spiral too.

Zach Mettenberger on the other hand looked a little wierd to me. Same camp as Aaron Murray so they ran the same drills. His throwing motion looks really awkward. He has a weird release, almost like he is releasing the ball to low, which is why he is throwing the ball more down than straight. All of his passes hit the receiver in the waist more so than the hands or numbers. Does anyone else think he throws funny?

His release looked fine to me. I like Ryan Mossakowski, he looks pretty good.

These are the only 4 or 5 stars listed by UT, USC, and USCjr. Not looking great.

theres a 6-4, 4 star commited to UK that listed Tennessee, i could see us snatching him because UK also got a cmmitment from a five star dual threat QB

I thought the consensus was not to take a player who is afraid of competition? If he comes here because they have another player then he is scared. Do we want someone afraid of competition?
