I can't reveal my source but he told me that butch jones is the leading candidate for the nfl team that hasn't started yet, in London. They spoke to the butch jones of the future(BJotf) and he is all in fir this future nfl team. BJotf also told me he is trading the gru right now for the job So yes according to the one only BJotf Jon gruden will be the next head coach at the university of Tennessee

Lmao!

Gruden will not take any college coaching job. He is making a good income now and compared to a head football coach, he does very little work.

A head football coach works all year long. Spring practice, youth football camps, Fall practice, the regular season, bowl game, recruiting, etc. etc. No time off!

Gruden spends the pre season, regular season and post season, traveling, commentating and studying the teams strategies. In the football off season, he makes appearences at camps and does motivational speaking.

He earns more than a head coach on the college level and does less work. Why would he want to coach on the college level?

To replace Saban, he would have to be compared to him all the time and should he not measure up to Saban's accomplishments, then it would be bad for him.

Rudy, absolutely correct. The problem is that while your facts should end this troll thread, they actually legitimize it.

Going with "Chucky is coming soon and bringing Rod Wilks as DC, strength coach & chaplain." would have dovetailed much more appropriately.

He ran a QB camp.. That is all. He isn't looking over anyone's shoulder...geez people!

Awww no. Butch brought him in because he's the only one too stupid to realize Gruden is destined to take his job. VN understand the inside, but the head coach is clueless. Hope that helps.

I'll bite...

Gruden is not the type of coach to have the patience to turn a program around.

He is on the other hand the type of guy to come in after another coach stocked the pantry for 4 or 5 years with 4 and 5 star studs but couldn't win enough games because his coordinators were not the greatest.

Just saying.

I've got to say, seeing Gruden sporting the Orange has given me an ASMR tingle all weekend.

Does Gruden though have some Machiavellian / Tywin Lannister plot? He's been watching the Vols on planes; he's in Knoxville again - a lot. He's just going through the motions on MNF.

Butch is killing it in almost every way (except leaving some Ws on the field last year. All and everything is forgiven in Year One of a process). For so long we never needed hope, but Butch has finally brought hope back to Knoxville.

Will Butch be even better if Gruden is hanging out on Cumberland Avenue keeping a watchful eye? With Gruden possibly waiting in the wings - could this kind of pressure make Butch even better?
I see what you are doing with this, He,He,He:neener:!

Oh my Gruden is at UT. Big friggin whoop! Coaches seek advise from other coaches all the time. One of the many traits of being great leader is to learn from others. I think Butch gets it and I think he wants to build TN brick by brick. If you look at it like some on here do then Worley and Dobbs are going to play for George Whitfield now. My goodness people we have a coach! I personally think we have a great coach! Now lets get behind him and support him and our boys! GBO!!!

How many better sportscasting jobs are out there that are BETTER than Gruden's? Hell, the man has his own ball washer. Why would he give that up to go back into college life?

The first part of your statement? Maybe.
The second part? Well, that's just crazy talk.
I am taking for granted that you actually meant Saban.
Agreed. However eventually Saban's age has to be factored in.

Saban is the gold standard in college football coaching but he isn't getting any younger.

when I saw 4 and then the "last page" arrow, and i realistically thought that this thread would be well into the 20's pages by now...

unimpressive crazy thread is unimpressive.

All though, there was a pretty good terrypedigo quote on page one! One of those that makes you go, "Whhhhhaaaaattttttt????"

No, but I did hear that on next season's GoT Gruden will be replacing Peter Dinklage.
