one issue that will have to be answered is why was this guy released from the custody of a psychiatric hospital in the first place.

he was also known to police and had a history of intimidating passers-by. Perhaps he didn't know right from wrong, but the police should have.

Good point. They should be heavily scrutinized and their practices re-evaluated.

There is a fundamental difference both according to morality and to legal codes, between routine psychological issues (depression, anxiety, etc.) and psychological disorders that have stripped an individual from comprehending right and wrong. Most murderers do not fall into the latter category.

Are you this week's judge on morality? That's actually immoral.

So, I replied to this last post without first looking at exactly what it was that you were referencing. Now that I have taken a deeper look, I can, with great confidence, state that you are a moron. My post in no way was a judgment of morality; I was simply relaying the thoughts, throughout the years, of moralists concerning this very issue. That is not judging.

As for judgment and whether or not it is immoral: it is neither immoral according to philosophical tradition nor Christian Theological tradition. Therefore, I will connect the dots for you, your statement was idiotic at best and, more than likely, ****ing worthless and asinine.

Feel free to continue to cast derision on individuals who suffer from actual mental diseases, I can assure you that makes you look like anything other than an arrogant prick. By the way, this last statement is facetious: you are an arrogant prick. Do you also push for the castigation and persecution of Down's patients? the autistic? Why would it be different for persons who are clinically insane or suffer from schizophrenia?

If you have a problem with me making statements and arguments concerning morals, it is probably because you have shown your ass and demonstrated that you are an amoral piece of ****.

Meanwhile, I bet a bunch of cops were handing out tickets somewhere.

Got get those 10 mile an hour over the speed limit criminals. But a man with a known illness? Let him walk the street by himself without being watched until he kills someone.

So glad trut's around again. Fresh fuel to the fire

I think I arrived after his absence started. I enjoy hearing his perspective as well, as I do yours and JTrain's take.

There are several folks here that I would like to have a beer with and discuss the world.

I sure did get a rise out of somebody, for being such a moron. A one sentence question, which he had to read twice to understand and respond to, turned into a diatribe of flaming bs. That's good dialogue there. Way to keep your composure.

I care little about composure when discussing anything with a fool like yourself.

I had to read it twice because I was drinking. Even in my drunken stupor I come off as your intellectual superior. Sucks for you.

That's apparent. Ficticiously of course, maybe some crazy bastard will cut off your head. We could then study your brain to understand how you are so brilliant. Then smeone could tell your parents that they are sorry but dude with the samarai sword didn't understand that it was wrong. Don't go the route of "the Downs" as you said or "autistics". You don't know anything about me, and you don't know anything about dealing with either, except what you have read in a book.

Continue to draw the conclusions that you believe I would come to in order to bolster your simpleminded argument.

If someone a family member of mine and it turned out that person was mentally incapable of determining right from wrong, I would not push for punishment; I would push for psychological and psychiatric care.

What I do know about you, though, is you have a hard time handling the backlash when you tacitly make personal attacks and then receive a very blunt personal attack in return. You want to play games, I'll play, and I will call you out for the simpleminded and cowardice prick that you are. I have no problem with that. Again, it seems as you do, and, well, that is a personal problem that you are going to have to address.

If you want to "fictitiously" create some scenario in which my head is lopped off with a Samurai sword, while everyone on here can read that there is a perverse hope to your words, then just come out and say it.

Why is it that the "smartest" people always seem to have to remind people how smart they are?

All the reminding I need is seeing all the morons post around him and others.

I'm not the angry one, and I don't recall a personal attack. Attacking you for talking about how smart you say you are and how much of a moron I am? All day. Your rambling, longwinded responses are pretty funny. Really reaching to make a point tends to make you ramble.

Rambling, IMO.

Calling someone immoral is never a personal attack, right?

Move along.
