To both you guys that have dealt with addiction I didn't mean to trivialize it. I know it's a bad mofo and I have mad respect for those that have beaten it.

Sadly in this day and age almost nothing surprises me but it's still enough to make you wanna puke. I agree with both the dealer and mother and I use the term "mother" VERY loosely should get death!

Biology makes one a mother. It takes more than giving birth to be a parent.
That child is going to need some very serious counseling.

Nah..you're cool. I think it's just that people don't understand that there is a pretty hefty amount of evil going on inside those two scumbags that had nothing to do with drugs. There is just a lot more to it than that. I'll use myself for example. I did things while under the influence that I would never have done otherwise. I stole..yes, but never from regular folks or small business's. I never cheated on my wife in 12 years of marriage, even though I had women offering themselves up all the time. While I did a lot of bad things, I still had some conscience.

A similar situation happened here in Harlan county recently. Although it was not the childs mother, but a legal guardian who offered her up to her meth supplier/boyfriend. I'm not sure, but I think it is the kids older sister. I don't know any more right now because the authorities are not releasing much information so far. I'm surprised it hasn't been bigger news.

Well, you'd be wrong. Any parent that could trade their kid for any reason is an evil individual. I don't care what addiction or other circumstances were involved.

Unthinkable.

the other possibility is that the drug dealer gave her the drugs, seemingly as a gift, then once she took it, he told her that it would cost her a price higher than she could afford and that he said he'd kill her if he couldn't have the girl as payment

I guess I'm not willing to just assume a child rapist and drug dealer is the better of any two people in the world, including this addict woman

I traded my kids lawn mowing service for UT tickets once.

Some on this board shall be here shortly to beat the "all drugs should be legalized" drum.

And this is why I think their drums are in need of tuning.

If she had been "pre-crime" arrested, maybe, this wouldn't have happened.

SMDH

If drugs had been legal, there would not have been a "dealer" to trade your daughter to.

Right because people never do bad things to get legal items. you get the same type of stories with people going for prescriptions.
Traded my kidney for a suitcase full of opana last week. Doctor said it wasn't that good a kidney, but better than nothing.

Ship em both off to ISIS controlled territory draped in red white and blue with "I'm an American" tattooed on their forehead. They'll receive due punishment .

This story made me sick.

I can understand with people wanting to see marijuana legalized but totally making all drugs legal not so much. I saw on the news a couple of days ago that over 140 people have died in Knox County alone due to heroin overdoses, this year alone.
