Dropping to a 7 seed set up badly for the LVs. Auburn and SCAR were two of the toughest opponents we could have faced, other than MSU. The teams holding the tiebreakers had easier paths. The LVs earned their seeding, though, by playing poorly and dropping winnable games the past month. Good lesson for the FR.

With Nared possible missing the game today, or playing limited minutes, it will be up to Russell and Davis to beat USC. We have to do something about those careless turnovers. It’s risky business when you have a freshman at point. Right now we seem to be going backwards at point. We can’t have that tonight, especially if Wilson plays. Wilson, Davis and Russell will be the best players on the floor. It is a good chance that our success, or failure, will depend upon the point and if Russell plays up to her capabilities.

I will add in Jackson - as a Junior, this is your time to step up in the absence of Jamie (if she misses a lot of playing time)

This is honestly not a dig. But is it me or does Chennedy Carter look as if she carries the ball often. It looks like when she is A. Dribble driving to the basket or B. Preparing to take her defender off the dribble with the crossover.

She does indeed roll the palm over a lot, but I'm not sure of the rule. Ask Coach Jumper.

Jumper any input?

I mean she even does a little skip before she does it too which draws my attention to it even more. Regardless she is cold blooded! SEC freshman of the year!

I think Davis is going to be special. I could see these two battling it out for player of the year awards in the future.

A referee friend of mine explained it to me this way... if on your dribble pick up your hand is more than a handshake under the ball it is a Carry. And it doesn't matter whether it's on a dribble pick up on a scoring move or dribble pick up on a crossover or as part of a regular dribble if you pick the ball up with more than would be consider a proper handshake angle ,, you are carrying

Hillman for A&M was a beast in the post and Carter is money in the bank.

Maroon vs Maroon in the semis

Georgia’s coach was interviewed last night and she was very articulate. She will do well at Georgia especially if she can get some of that talent to stay in state.
