Who honestly thinks this team should get in based off of name and history alone? And who thinks this team is still talented enough to make a final four? Not based on how they have played. Who honestly thinks they are still talented enough? Because my answer to both questions is NO.

Based on the teams that are usually 15 and 16 seeds the LVs should get into the tournament. They can definitely secure a spot if they can regroup and win a few games in the SECWT. Otherwise they will be in the WNIT.

While they have dropped out of the top 25, they are still one of the 64 best teams in the country and when they play like they did against OSU they are a top 16 team. But then, CHW is still the coach so who knows what mindset the team is in today.

This season is a total loss! The lady vols do not deserve to be in the tournament and for all you Eternal optimist get over it because next season is going to be worse than this one! Same coach, same players, no recruits , the nightmare will continue with holly driving this program off in the ditch!

This is program is in complete free fall. A once proud program setting records for futility. Out of the top 25 for first time in 31 years...losing to Alabama for first time in 42 games?

They are NOT one of the top 64 teams in the country. They are in complete disarray.

They started the season ranked # 4 in the country. Think about that. Now look at them.

This is a complete unmitigated disaster.

Holly needs to be fired NOW if there is any hope of saving this program from falling into an abyss where there is no hope of getting out of. She is a complete joke who is destroying this program.

I for one do, if this team can get in sync. With the players the Lady Vols have they could win it all.

Coming out of High School the players were rated below:

Reynolds 4 star
Russell 5 star number one
Nared 5 star number six
Graves 5 star number five
Carter 4 star
Deshields 5 star number two
Cooper 5 star
Jackson 4 star
Dunbar 4 star
Middleton 4 star
Moore 3 star

Their actual rating IMO

Reynolds 2 star
Russell 3 star could probably be developed into a 5
Carter 2 star
Cooper 3 star could be developed into a 4 or 5
Deshields 4 star but has issues and is not a great shooter.
Moore 3 star
Middleton 2 star
Dunbar 3 star
Graves 4 star she has no length and is to short.
Jackson 3 star no playing time.
Nared 3 star terrible outside shooter.

Then we have a 1 star coach and staff so the answer to all your questions is no.

This team has as much talent as any of the top four rated teams. The difference is the top four teams have top coaches at the helm. I think that talent has been misused by a coach that does not know her butt from a hole in the ground.

Part of me still want to see them in the NCAA's while the other side says, based upon the latest debuckle, we will get embrassed, which will not help recruiting. The only thing left is to stick a fork in this team because, for all intent and purpose, this team is done.

One star coach, did she get a promotion? If there is any such thing as a negative 5 star coach, Holly is a prime example.

I don't think the NCAA would go off of history, besides they can put them in the same bracket as UCONN and get a match up between them, maybe

I think Holly is in over her head. When she is not the head coach she is ok. She even said this team has quit on her. That would never happen with Pat.

This could be a Final Four team. The talent is there. It would be the ultimate Cinderella story for them to play up to their full potential now, but there's no reason they can't pull it together enough to make a respectable run-- if they're willing to put in the effort and give it their best shot. If not, being shut out out of the tournament will be less embarrassing than what we've seen the past two games. Compete or stay home.

This team is not good. If they make it "Liberty" or "San Jose St" will beat them in the first round.

Today's game proves that. I was laughed at for saying it this week. If we win a few games in the SECT and work up to a 7 seed, the bracket will be optimal for a final four run. Baylor, ND, SC have all shown they're beatable.

The SECT is the prom the 2A tourney is the big dance. Our ladies have a chance at redemption IF they win the SECT.

Let's not get too puffed up and ahead of ourselves.

Today's game went much better than others lately. That is the ONE thing we CAN say.

None of the projections have shown us in UConn's bracket. It's the one bracket that will end any hope before it starts. Most brackets have us in Lexington with SC as the 1 seed.

I agree. For one, if Tennessee does end up as a 7-9 seed, they will most likely be the best 7-9th seed and thus will not have to worry about being in UCONN's bracket. The question is, if they win the SEC tournament, which is very possible, how low of a seed can they get?? Could they possibly get a 4th seed and home for the first two rounds with a SEC tournament win??

Creme had them at #36. That would have put them as the last #9. Wouldn't that put them in UConn's bracket?

I think that today's win against UGA should be enough to get them free and clear from the Huskies.

Anything is possible, but even with Creme having them at 36, he still doesn't have them in UCONN's bracket. Doesn't the committee look at more criteria than just RPI and Polls? Where will our number 1 SOS fit into all this?? I think all in all, the Lady Vols have a great chance of not being in UCONN's bracket

It's been so frustrating because the talent has been there all along. The players just need to make it click and play together. They've shown they can do it. It would do wonders for the players and this program if the team could wake up, play hard and get to the SEC final. A rematch with SCAR, with the LVs firing on all cylinders would set the team up nicely for a deep run in the NCAAT.

Florida and Vandy just did Tennessee a huge favor by beating Auburn / Missouri. That puts Tennessee in a 3 way tie for #7, with Tennessee having the tie-breaker advantage over. That gets them out of SC's bracket and gives them the chance to make a run in the SEC tournament.

They place based off of team travel time, if possible. TN won't get sent all the way up to UCONN.
