...as a Jumbo TE? I don't think he will see much time on the OL, so might as well use that size to help seal the edge on running downs, and a huge H-Back to blow open holes up the middle for our RB's.

He was supposedly pretty nimble on his feet, and there is not much bad body weight on the guy. Might have decent enough hands to catch defenses asleep, once in a while?

Stanford's been using jumbo tight ends for a few years and it's worked out well. Don't know if this staff would do it though.

If I'm not mistaken didn't Tennessee do this with Victor McClure during the '04 season?

And with Alex Bullard last year if I am not wrong. But that was more out of desperation i guess.

I'm 90% positive you came up with this idea after watching the Denver game, Monday night.

I assume you're speaking of Quinn. I haven't heard his name called, but all the te's have been disappointing.

He's played at LT 3 games this season.
I'm wondering what happened to Jackson.
Did they red shirt him this season for depth issues 14-15?

This was my thinking, although it's just a guess.

I think Pair contributes next season. At this point, either that or he's a roster casualty for the '15 class.
