Wonder what A&M fans want to happen...?

The SEC needs to make a push at A&M and OU. That would somewhat diminish Tejas taking only Okie St. and Tech with them to the PAC 10.

Not gonna happen. OU is going with Texas.

And the most likely thing would be if we take A&M, we'll have to take Baylor too. No thanks.

Anybody else not want this College Station crap in our conference?

Let's not kid ourselves into thinking adding garbage programs like the Aggies or Baylor does anything for us.

They bring in valuable Texas markets, open up the SEC to greater exposure in the fertile Texas recruiting ground, and offer pretty good programs in basketball, baseball, etc.

I'd MUCH rather have A&M + Baylor than any combination of ACC teams, save for UNC + Duke.

We need new market teams not MORE powerhouse football programs in our ALREADY STACKED conference.

They would bring more to the table than Ole Miss and Miss St. do now.

This sounds like a lot of misinformation out there.

Why, if A&M has NO offer (even unofficial) by the SEC, are they waiting around to potentially get left out of the Pac-10?

"A bird in hand is worth two in the bush."

A&M probably has an "unofficial" offer by the SEC to join, but nothing "official" so if nothing works out both parties save face.

If A&M had no offer they would not be "on the fence" about not joining the Pac-10--they'd be all over it.

I don't. And I'm pretty certain Baylor is going to push to jump on the A&M bandwagon, because the latest reports say the MWC doesn't want Baylor but they do want the rest of the B12 leftovers. So Baylor is about to be without a home, so I imagine they are trying everything to make the A&M move, if they don't go with the other 4 to the Big 12, to be them along for the ride.

Again I say, no thanks to Baylor.

We're not looking to the ACC.....so I guess it's 2 from the Big 12 or bust. I can't imagine the conference only adding one team.

Am I the only one who thinks that adding College Station won't matter because the reset of Texas will be watching relevant football?

If we aren't looking to take from the ACC, then we'll probably see some combination like this:

1. A&M/Missouri

2. A&M/Kansas

3. A&M/Baylor

Kansas probably won't be allowed to abandon K-State, but Missouri may be a viable option. Baylor if nothing else.

However, I doubt that we aren't looking to take some teams from the ACC--almost ALL our viable expansion options are in that conference.

Aside from the teams mentioned above, the only other possibly likely school not from the ACC would be West Virginia.

Who knows? It may be a good thing that A&M gets away from Texas? A&M could become relevant with the increased revenue that they would get by coming to the SEC. It may also help recruiting because some recruits will want to stay close to home and still play in the SEC.
