Saw her in Keeping up with the Joneses. Awful movie. But she is beautiful. Looks really good half nekit in lingerie.

I thought it was pretty good. The backstory of the Amazons is pretty contrived, the battle sequence in the middle of the film is pretty exhilerating, but I thought the ending and the villain were extremely cheesy. Like cheesier than Revenge of the Sith Palpatine cheesy. I thought it could've (and should've) done without that. It's pretty clear that Zack Snyder still had a hand in creative. DC needs to divorce with him ASAP.

Wonder Woman (Gadot) and Steve (Pine) have good chemistry. Pine is a good actor when he's not saddled with crap like Star Trek. Gadot is probably the most beautiful woman on the planet. Her smile is the best ever. It's infectious. I can't decide whether it's hard to take my eyes off her or if it's hard to look at her. There's a saying that "he's so ugly, he's handsome" (which I believe was used to refer to Abraham Lincoln). Gadot might be the opposite. She might be so beautiful, she is hard to look at. She was definitely the right choice for this part tho.

Pretty much my exact thoughts.

Thought Gadot and Pine's chemistry/relationship was the best part of the movie really.

What's so hard to understand about that? Do you think Pine is a bad actor? Don't tell me you think the new Star Trek movies are actually good.

I think he means that

1) Pine was still very good and charismatic in the Star Trek films regardless of what one may say about the rest of the movie
and/or
2) The Star Trek movies weren't bad at all. The 1st one (of the new reboot series I'm referring to obviously) was actually very good. Into Darkness and Beyond weren't necessarily bad either imo, but yeah, they were bordering mediocrity.

I like the reboots a lot by general entertainment standards but they have deviated from Roddenberry's vision to sci-fi action flicks which I find disappointing.

There was a third one? Lol

Star Trek (2009)
Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)
Star Trek Beyond (2016)

A yet to be titled fourth film is currently scheduled to begin filming next spring for release on June 21, 2019.

The majority of the Beyond cast will be coming back and its been confirmed that Chris Hemsworth will be returning to play Kirk's father. They also announced they will not be recasting the role of Chekov.

I actually liked Beyond better than Into Darkness!

They really screwed up making the new Star Trek movies less "Sci-Fi" and more "space adventure". Star Trek and Star Wars are different for good reason.

Commercially it was smart.

But I agree with the sentiment. I started watching TNG with my kids recently. My hope is they get something more than just spaceships and phasers out of it.

2 weeks at #1. Good for WW and DC?

Tone wise, how does this compare to BvS?

Wasn't she also in X-Men Apocalypse......the evil wench that ran off at the end when things went south for the bad guys?

Finally a female super hero feature movie that isn't bad or terrible.
With great writing and faithful to the source material, plus a great super villain with a goal that has dreadful consequences if he wins it's not surprising that the drought no good or great feature female super hero feature movies ended.
You can't make a good or great movie with bad or awful writing which is the primary reason why all feature female super hero feature movies before Wonder Woman failed to be good or great.

I'm surprised no after credits scene or interruption of credits scene but it's a great action fantasy movie so hard to be unhappy or angry about that.

Also where Wonder Woman is from a island the whole telling a person where to go and what to do is slavery according to the definition of the Amazons Island.

How did the Amazons reach that conclusion, and believe no problems since a General of a Army will be doing those things, and a parent raising a daughter.

I went and saw it again yesterday! I think it was even better the second time around and believe this film has a great rewatchability factor!

I saw one blooper or oops moment. The plane that Steve Trevor crashes on Themiscyra is red while the one he steals is white.

Here is a rumor I heard....
the super-strength gas developed by Doctor Poison is in fact the origination to the super-serum that Bane uses. Possible connection to a future Batman film?

If it starred a man it would get half the praise and you know it. Its getting it for what it stands for, not the actually quality of the film.

This should qualify for dumbest post of the year!

You have obviously not seen the film. It's getting the praise because its a great film! Period!

I think its probably in the top 3 or 4 of best Superhero films of all time. IMO

It reminds me so much of the original Chris Reeve Superman film and like that film from now on regardless of who portrays Wonder Woman on the big or small screen they will be compared to Gal Gadot. I was not a fan of her casting for BvS but in that and most certainly in this she owns the role and brought Wonder Woman off the pages to life!

It was a good movie and I enjoyed it, but I don't think it is crazy to say it is getting bolstered by the fact that it is the first superhero woman movie, especially from a critics standpoint. I mean the most recent Ghostbusters got good reviews and I haven't personally met a person who said they enjoyed it. And as far as top 3 or 4 all time, it wouldn't be in my top 5 for the last 15 years. For me it would be behind Guardians of the Galaxy, Iron Man, Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy, the Tobey McGuire Spiderman movies (1 and 2), Dr. Strange and the Avengers just off of the top of my head. I guess what I'm saying is I think you are both somewhat right :)
