He can play somewhere else, but not here? I'm confused
He can play somewhere else, but not here? I'm confused
He got a hardship waiver for last year and has received a 5th year of eligibility. Instead of riding the pine here he's going to transfer to a school that he'll actually get PT, and will be eligible to play immediately.
Much like how we got John fields last year and he was able to come in and play right away.
I have never understood the hatred for Renaldo. He was good rebounder and a good three shooter @ 37% but he would get jerked in a sec for a bad play. Others would stay out there all night after dumb mistakes . Just my two cents.
i wish he would just stay he would play next year with good hard work
I see Long Beach State in his future!!! Fits everything you just typed and its in Cali. Not a good fit in Coach Cuonzo's system. Swiperboy is more of a zone type defender. In Martin's mind, you have to be able to get up in a guy's jock strap and stay with him with this in your face defense. That takes a tough mindset. Swiperboy gets a few blocks, but it goes for almost every pump fake and he is easy to go around. His lateral footwork is somewhat slow...doesn't seem to slide very well. But nice kid, great towel waver, wish him luck. Maybe a full throttle, wide open, little D, type team can put him to good use. VFL!
Classy way to go. Not a Deanthony Arnett kicking us in the groin on the way out."Many thanks to my Vol Family for the love and support that you have shown me over the past four years. I am announcing my intentions to forgo entering any professional basketball endeavor, NBA or otherwise, as I have been granted a hardship waiver, allowing me the opportunity to play another season of college basketball. I am on schedule to graduate from the University of Tennessee, proudly representing Rocky Top as an official VFL Alum. My plan is to pursue a master's degree at another university while playing the game that I love. After close communication with my family and support network, I feel that this is the best decision not only for my basketball career, but most importantly, for life. Wherever I go I will take unforgettable memories from UT. I am blessed and fortunate for this opportunity, and will let you know when I make a decision. Regardless, I will continue to "Rep That ORANGE and WHITE" in all that I do. Vol nation is my family forever, and I mean it when I say I am a proud VFL...Just continuing to chase my dream." -Swiperboy True VFL IMO Best of luck to the guy!
