CBJ means business, he don't put up with any slacking or whatever was going on to make him yell at said player.

In the jungle, in the jungle, the mighty jungle;
The lion was put to sleep tonight.
The newsflash was flashed indeed.
Oh, Oh,Oh, Oh, oooooooooooooooooooh
Eyah, Eyah, Eyah, Eyah Oh. EEEH, EEH, EEEEEyah Oh.

I thought you were going to end with what does the fox say with all of that mess

Yesterday's practice was a scrimmage at Neyland. I was there. CBJ carried a mic with him the entire time calling out everything. The mic was turned up extremely loud so everything Butch said could probably be heard for quite a distance outside of Neyland. He chewed some ass on occasion but I never heard him belittle only motivate.

SN: Hurd is a beast. Ferguson definitely looked the best but all 4 QBs took equal snaps it seemed so not a large body of work to judge them on for me just watching yesterday.

Gibbs is empty now, no one in there. I'm not calling BS on this mostly because I don't care that much, but there's really not any dorms close to the stadium at this point.

That being said... If they're on Haslam Field, Jones can clearly be heard from just about anywhere on Fraternity Row. And I'm almost positive that Nick kid or whoever it was that gave the great practice reports had a corner room at the Phi Sig house. It's very close.

When I was at U.T., there were dorm rooms in the stadium, underneath the seats.

Correct. You are referring to South Stadium and East Stadium Halls. When I was an Anthropology grad student at UT, virtually all of my classes were held there. The Anthropology Dept. is still located in South Stadium Hall.

I lived there during my first 3 years at UT - if you were dirt poor and wanted to go to UT, that's all you could afford. Does anyone else remember being awakened late in the morning on Saturday game days by the guy shouting, "Lineup! Get yer lineup!" as the gates opened?

Nope, I am a cultural anthropologist by training. I took graduate level Medical Anthropology but no forensics. Dr. Bass had just retired as head of the Forensics Program shortly before I began grad study at UT.

Was Brian Darden in uniform today?
I remember Darden, he was a huge bust. He was a great athlete though. I was at the Bama game in 97 in Birmingham, and after we won the players ran over to the area where the UT fans were all gathered. Darden starts doing backflips, back handsprings, and cartwheels. It was really impressive (he should have been a gymnast). I don't think talent was the problem, so I guess he was lazy, not the sharpest knife in the drawer, or both.:dunno:

Gibbs hall is close enough to hear from practice field or Neyland.. It overlooks the practice Field, and it is just over the hill from the stadium. And with the sound system in the stadium, you can easily hear what is going on over there.. just sayin..

Now with that being said, I know stokely and gibbs hall get torn down at some point this year, so I dont know if anyone is living in there or not at this time

Gibbs is an empty shell right now...
