Zombies and infected are 2 different things. Hence the sprinting in 28 days vs slow walking in Night Of the Living Dead. Infected are not the undead, so they have all their motor skills and can think and function properly. Zombies are the dead reanimated, brain dead, decayed/decaying, idiots. That being said fast zombies suck. Yes I know Romero recently broke "slow and dumb" zombie rules. Lol

Kind of like the difference between Resident Evil and Left 4 Dead. The "zombies" in L4D are actually infected which is why they run after you.

Although technically the zombies in RE are infected too, as the infection causes the person to degrade into a zombie; but RE's storyline is so screwed up now I can't keep up with all their viruses.

I loved REs games, and the first 2 movies, the 3rd was ok, the last 2 are absolutely horrible. They went completely off the rails. Lol

I liked the first RE movie ok enough, they made it so it almost could fit as a prequel to the games, or at least happen at the same time. After that it went bad.

I didn't hate the 2nd or 3rd one but they had way too much dumb in them; the Alice vs. Nemesis fight in 2 and 3 went stupid with the "T-Virus kills the planet" crap. Which they turn around and pretty much ignore all that in 4 and 5. The last one was awful even by the other movie standards, it simply made no sense at all.

What I really hate is how Anderson just throws in stuff from the games to try to tie them to the games, when in reality the games at least kinda explain why they are there, like Las Plagas and the Executioner guy. In the movies, they just show up for no freakin' reason. And how they throw in game characters who look like the video game characters but really are nothing like them. Like Leon Kennedy from the last one....looked dead on like Leon from RE4, acted NOTHING like him.

I started watching the latest RE when she in some sort of dream state. I still haven't finished it so I wonder how much stranger it gets.

I haven't seen it yet, but one criticism I've heard is that when the zombies are "real", i.e. real actors playing them, they're fine, but when they are CGI, they look like someone supercharged them.

My buddy saw it yesterday and said he enjoyed it. I mentioned the cgi zombies thing, and he said they don't really detract from the story.

The ending left it open to a possible second movie, oddly enough. But I really enjoyed it.

Loved the book. Movie looks like garbage.

With that said I love the genre so much that I'm gonna go see it tonight.

I am about to start the book. Was gonna hold off on seeing the movie, but once everyone said they didn't look anything alike, I went ahead

It wasn't as bad as I expected but wasn't as good as the reviews I've been seeing.

My recommendation is to wait for DVD.

There was almost too much action.

Dialogue was corny but it was entertaining.

Def setting up for sequels.

I liked this movie a lot. Good pacing and I feel Pitt was great in the role. The "zombies" made interesting noises, though. Wasn't sure if the angry beaver one toward the end was meant to be scary or comic relief.

Zombies that can sprint!? WTF!

To quote Aliens: That's it, man. Game over, man. Game over, what the f*** are we supposed to do now? What're we gonna do?
