There is an old adage that still holds true most of the time. "Don't throw the short ones long and don't throw the long ones short".Worley will have to be WAY more accurate with his downfield throws for them to do more downfield. He wasn't close on any of the long balls.
USU's whole D philosophy is built around stopping the run at all costs and avoiding long completions. They hope that you'll make enough mistakes to stop yourself in the short passing game. UT murdered them with "dink and dunk".Also, the receivers didn't get as much separation on the deep patterns as you'd expect from this group. I'll be surprised if we don't see 200+ yards running instead, just to give the line a chance to knock some folks around. They need a confidence builder after that last performance.
