Everybody agrees Worley has really shown leadership this past 2 games. This week is crucial to his progression.

The Oklahoma DL will certainly be trying to overmatch this new OL. Early in the game if the blocking breaks down, he must NOT try to force something to happen. Take the 3 and out and take this offense to the sideline for the offensive coaches to make the blocking adjustments. That's not his job. That's their job. NO throws off the back foot or into coverage. Justin needs to show extreme patience in the early going and continue doing what he's been doing playing under control with confidence. We have plays to get the ball out quick to some playmakers and we have several. Can't let the pressure turn into easy points for OKla because they have 5 TO's in 2 games.

I don't have as many concerns on the Defense for some reason. We have some experience there with guys like A.J., Maggitt, Sutton, Randolph, Coleman teamed with some game youngsters like T Kelly Jr, Hendrix, Owens, Barnett, Maybin, Vereen, Lewis, Wethard, Mosely Williams, and McNeil that are very capable of turning some heads when the spotlight comes on Sat night.

Looking forward to this game but insistent that Worley maintains control if the protection breaks down at times. He's been a real leader and if he can lead under adversity in a tough road game, then the confidence going forward will be solidified. Read the defense, protect the ball, get the ball into the hands of RB's, TE's, and WR's timely and with confidence.

That is all. As you were, gentlemen.

Worley was thrown into the fire early in his career. I think he'll have it in him to manage this game in a hostile environment.

I agree 100%... But this could have been a lot shorter

Literally thousands on VN have requested more of my soothing thoughts. It is often said that my wisdom puts them at ease and makes them feel at peace for the first time in their lives. I can understand why.

If Hurd, Lane and the O-line can step it up a notch this week, JW will be just fine. Never know!

Honestly, if the offense is not making things happen and the defense starts being worn down and OU is up a couple of scores in the 3rd quarter, I'll be upset if Worley doesnt try to make things happen.

Don t fool yourself into thinking if UT can keep things from falling apart they can keep it close til the 4th quarter and maybe make something happen. If the offense doesnt take chances and try to WIN the game even early in the 2nd half, UT is going to get so far behind it's not going to be close.

OU D-line looks dominant. However, that strenght can be used against them. I hope we will see chip blocking by RBs and TEs on the DLs of OU. That would put a check down receiver just beyond the LOS for a dump off. Depending on the OU LBs, it could result in a nice gain. Plus, if successful, it will cause the DL to slow down a half step and/or the LBs to play closer to the line. Then, we (I sincerely hope) exploit their secondary which appears to be the weakest link in the their defense.

Here's to optimism. :hi:

Worley is from Rock Hill SC. He knows Mason Rudolph at Ok State.

That's all you need to know.

I am more worried that he is gonna get caught
Hopefully no more than 2-3 times. The last 2 games, Worley steps up into the pocket more(man,he's really improved). This may be a blessing. The little I have watched OK, the main sack threat seems to come when the QB stays back. AJ Macarron stayed back....and got what he got.

Nobody knows just how good we are. As the experience builds, so should the team. We will beat a couple we are not supposed to beat. 7-5 and 8-5 after the bowl.

Okay... I didn't read it because it looks like someone wrote a term paper. Would of been just as easy to type that Butch was going to give Worley a magic pill and it will be all good.... :)
