Worley's getting better

Nopeee. It's South Alabama...... He still throws it at WR feet... even threw it so far over their heads WR are throwing their hands up. Three int's against USA? Even if you take away the one to Pig which I think he still would have gotten picked. Two ints? He only had two nice throws one to Josh Smith and other one down the middle I forget who too but they were both wide open....He hasn't improved at all. I'm sorry. Maybe he grew a little confidence in running the ball for once? Haha

11-13 104 yrds 3 tds

W. Kentucky
11-19 142 yrds 1 td 1 int

Oregon(#2 in country)
13-25 126 yrds 1 td

Florida (half a game #3 rankedD)
10-23 149 yrds 1 td 2 int

S. Alabama
20-36 204 yrds 2 tds 3 int

The point is I see improvement every game he plays. By no means is he playing great, but he's showing development. You ppl have to remember this is his first year in this system to.

This is a joke right? :lolabove: :loco:

There's a lot more to improvement than completions and yards.

Yup, completion % and yards passing are pretty minor. Other more important stats are...........................?

Just messin whicha bro. But even a Vol/Butch homer like me scoffed when Butch talked about how Worley improved in his presser. I know there are some intangibles that the coaches can judge much better than us fans, but we aint blind either. Trust me, I want Worley to succeed and rock the house, but so far, the kid is makin it hard for the fans to love him.

Honestly I think 2 pics were on pig and Worley as a pair. He didn't fight for the ball. They were thrown into coverage, but he could've knocked them down or at least tried to catch them.

They Booed Worley pretty bad today. Made me think of the Crompton years.. How in the hell do we always get these Qb's that are supposed to be so good and can't produce on the field. Worley looked defeated most of the day when he went to the sideline..Piss poor throwing in my book..

That hook up with Josh Smith was a great throw and Smith flat out punked that corner.

That was a little glimmer of hope.

And this was his best game running. In fact, it's the best game running by a Tennessee quarterback in a long long time. :zeitung_lesen:

I was doubtful and then he did well in the first half and I thought, well maybe he is settling into the system. Then the second half. It's not that he's missing throws, he's missing them bad. I hope for UT sake he improves but if he don't quickly, let's throw a freshman in there to get him experience for next year. My thought is, Worley is good as long as there is no pressure, but put a little pressure on, and uh oh. USA stacked the line, dared him to throw and rushed him into poor decisions many times. OUr line is still one of the best in the SEC but 5 can't block 8 and we are going to have to hit some passes to back them off otherwise, everyone is going to stack the line.

That first interception was baffling to say the least. He has to make better decisions.

Yeah that was terrible and solely on him as Smith was all alone on the sideline. I have to assume that was the way the play was drawn up and he just made a bad read but some will still blame coaches although scheme had a player open for first down.

I think running plays out of the Pistol formation would help out a lot. The offense is way too predictable, and that does not do Worley any favors.

I have not heard anyone say but I am assuming that most of those are read plays and Worley is handing off rather than keeping it. There were several times today if he had kept it and ran he would have had huge gains.

I feel like Pigs back was turned running full speed toward the checkerboards the S caught the ball behind Pig and there was no way he could really see him honestly and no way to knock the ball down. The other one I think he could have maybe gotten a hand on it if he dove out but I think in the end there was nothing he could have done. Shouldn't have been put there in the first place when it's all said and done.

Not sure who it was on but Jones chewed Pigs a@@ out as he was coming off the field.

5 INTs in the last 6 qtrs played is getting better?

Yea, the picks have increased, but that's because of a few factors:
1. He's getting more confidence and trying to fit the ball into tight spots.
2. His receivers are running bad routes, not finding seems in zones and sitting down.
3. His receivers aren't fighting for the ball, if you can't catch it knock it down. Just don't give up on it, and damn sure don't quit on your route.

The most important part of being a QB : Decision making. Three picks doesn't reflect better decision making. I'm not seeing improvement.

I am not seeing improvement in decision making but I think we are seeing improvement in scheme. Do you agree?
