Worley's Thumb and...?

If he plays like that with a hurt thumb, maybe we should send him a hammer and smash it! Dude played awesome and threw some awesome passes.

Is obvious the CBJ doesn't want to burn a redshirt, so we need a backup just in case. It's not that I want him to play, but trust CBJ that the freshmen aren't ready. That's why I asked about Peterman.

He and McCullers BOTH got better post-injuries. Pretty amazing actually.

If that's what it takes to start putting the Fear of Dan into opposing offenses, someone needs to start slapping him around before every defensive series. Dude plays lights-out when he wants to.

Worley played well.

Ferguson is the clear #2. When Worley was having his hand looked at, Ferg was warming up on the sideline. That tells you all you need to know.

However, Worley has proven he plays well with his back against a wall. He won that game (with help, obviously) through grit. He is our starter unless he is physically unable to be.

Just watched a re-broadcast and the announcer clearly stated that BOTH freshman QB's are now throwing on the sideline.:unsure:

Any reports on the effects of hitting his thumb on a helmet?

And, who is now the #2?

Worley has apparently practiced with a glove on the last two days to help with grip. The coaches claim that is all it is.

I wonder why the coaches haven't worked with Worley throwing off his back foot. 2nd half of GA game he seemed confident in the pocket. He would step up and make great throws. Then against SC he seemed nervous once again.

nervous = Clowney

We did a decent job against him ..but any QB would know there is a torpedo aimed at him

Peterman most likely will never take another snap at UT.

That's what I was thinking the other night. Had a convo with one of my friends about it. Seems to me that next year Worley starts and Ferg will be his backup. Could be wrong but just my opinion.

Total agreement. What they don't realize they are saying when they go off on Worley is that Butch and staff don't know how to pick a successful starting QB. Usually these same posters are big Butch backers, which makes it all the more stupid.

Butch changed QB's after the Louisville game last year... don't over think this.

Thought I saw some quotes from practice this week that Riley was nursing a sore leg and was wearing a black wrap of some sort. I will try and find it. Which made me wonder, if Worley goes down and Riley is hurting would Dobbs get the nod instead.
