Summitt was only a year older than the players when she became head coach so she told them to call her "Pat". I don't recall too many players that didn't call her Pat when speaking of her publically, even while still a player. What they called her in practice, I don't know.

The stuff on this board and others, truly blows my mind sometimes. Yes they have struggled at times so far this year, but it amazes me how quickly it seems to be forgotten this same team just won 2 tough road games. I will be the first to say last night's game was disappointing and down right ugly, but it's not like it's the end of the world. I truly believe this team wil be fine. I, for one and willing to wait how the season plays out.

It's the worst team that I can remember, but I wouldn't say it's the worst ever. There is always next years team if Holly is still coaching for that moniker.

This is a more disappointing team. They have the tools but they play hard when they like. There is something going on behind the scenes because they are so much better than they're playing. They need an honest team meeting to sort this out.

The HC says in the postgame presser that the players don't want to play defense and she doesn't know what to do. The LVs shot 29% from the floor against UF. So they can't shoot, won't play defense and the HC doesn't know what to do about it. Somebody needs to do something.

Holly never seemed to have that fire in her belly, I was a little disappointed when Pat had to step down and they announced her as a replacement. A home run hire would have kept the program afloat. It is sad to see, I remember as a kid no one could touch the lady vols. Now it seems like everyone is getting thenselves a handful

Everyone always talks about Dunbar not playing defense but neither does Reynolds and yet she continues to get valuable minutes. is she any better than Dunbar or Middleton?i'm tired of seeing players been taken out when they're playing well it messes up everything. Holly's substitutions are not good she takes out the wrong people and puts in players that have no business been out there. if the players on the floor are the one's getting the job done then she needs to leave them out there on the floor and bench the players that need to be benched. i don't know if we will even see Jones on the floor again this season or if she will come back next season. we have no new players coming in next season so they had better start going after JUCO players immediately.

Your right they had better go to Juco quick, cause these players are not he caliber type to get you to the top.
